There are alot of problems with this spell: 1.It takes forever to cast. 2.The visuals of the spell makes it very difficult to see what you are trying to hit. 3.AOE seems small. 4.It's difficult to see where the hitbox of the spell is, so you constantly hit something you don't want to. 5.Sounds cool as all hell but the enemy will notice you immediately and shoot you to bites. 6.Railing kills you. 7.The bolt is slow reeeeeeeally slow. So 10/10 for style points but over all a worse plasmacannon.
If it could be fired from cover/over walls it would be heaps better. Its good for corridors and places where it cant be dodged. The best trick ive found is to start charging is predictively. As in, before you turn the corner have it half charged. if nothing there or friendlies, release early and cancel it. otherwise, kill the 3 Loyalists coming down the hallway to capture your point!
dude, this is just slow flying hand grenade...just throw default grenade and use Flickering fire for suffer
It was pretty good as a smokescreen to obscure vision and at "suppression" (people got the hell out of the way of the scary mass of tentacles protruding from a giant evil eye) when it first came out. Not used it in awhile though. As other posters said, you won't be getting many kills with it. I didn't have any trouble firing over walls if I took a step or two back away from the wall.
Do you know the DB can be shoot on flight? As LoS it's a spell which is nice to see and totally uneffective
Most of my kills from it seem to be from people looking at me at awe wondering what the fuck the ability is. Then die to its explosive blast. So it's essentially a slow moving bug zapper for the brainless. Otherwise I'd really wish this ability had a practical use.
It's greatk for team killing. Because it's so slow, that your team mates just run in front of it...and you all die together...like brothers.
Btw, maybe a good change for it would be to remove the friendly fire? Like the sorcerer commands the lesser demons inside not to eat his brothers or something. And maybe lower the damage so that not instakills anymore.
