Would you opt out from having a bleed out/revive mechanic on your class loadout if given the option to as an Ork?

Rather they keep bleedouts while getting rid of painboyz entirely. Then just make it a racial/wargear thing that picking up an ally gives them full health so they can get back in the fight. That makes offense the best option at surviving.

Uh why get rid of painboyz? They can easily be a healing unit as well as a area of effect buff unit, like a damage increase or resistance generator strapped to their back.

Reviving in general is just too distracting for orks. In what match have you seen a group of orks not get killed trying to revive a downed ork? Iz a waste of toime mate!

Just feel like the painboy is an odd choice for orks in an army. The only place I ever really heard of them being in a fight is TT. In books and stories they tend to just be another unti on the attack. They don't ever seem to do much MID combat. Sure they prod around after a fight but not really during.

My suggestion would make it so orks just fight all out. They only stop to pick someone back up after the fighting is done maybe even make it so they can't pick people up if they took damage in the last 5 seconds. Conversly they should be way more offensive oriented in combat strats then. Allowijg a full HP restore on pickup would be balanced that way I think.

Just pick up an ork (or kick him w/e), he rubs some dirt in it, and poof back in the fight ready to go full out again

Don't get all lore accurate wif me mate! Dis ain't a table top game, it be a 3rd person shoota! Orkz get a medic class because orkz needs da 'ealin, and hopefully da area buffs.

The full health on revive sounds great but i'm pretty sure the other factions are going to call it OP.

Don't see how if we trade away our healer for it.

well honestly, I think the plausibility of replacing the Painboy with an "Oddboy" class; depending on your load out you could be either a mekboy or a painboy. Thoughts? I'm not sure if this has been suggested before, though. Could have been, already.

Because Expert Rescues are basically the only role Apothecaries had prior to the damage reduction vial getting added, and the main role of Painboyz now. A LSM wanting heals while they were still standing would be (and for the most part still is) better off using their own medikit

What this means is that Orks trading Painboyz for free healing after being revived would basically be a flat-out buff to the entire faction 95% of the time. It also opens up exploits, like shooting your teammate when he only has 15% health then picking him back up to give him 100% health

That actually sounds super orky tbh. I could totally see an ork shooting his buddy when he was weak as a joke then kicking him making the injured ork angry and jumping on the first ork in anger (effectively ignoring his wounds). Orks are supposed to be absurdly resiliant after all. The only true way to gaurwntee an ork death is blow him to bits, take his head off/blow up head, or burn him to a crisp with loooots of fire. Hell they have been know to fight on with part of their brain blown out!

Apparently this game is old enough that all the Ork players have forgotten such level resilience is supposed to apply to Marines as well. Bulletproof ribcages and skulls, three lungs and two hearts that are each efficient enough to keep the marine alive if only one is left, a brain that works like a dolphin's in that it can shut itself half-off to fight pitched combat for a week without sleeping, blood that clots in about three seconds, etc.

It's the Eldar for whom the current durability/revive system doesn't actually make any sense. When this game first launched I assumed their primary weakness was the inability to be revived, as a tradeoff for faster running speed

Just because something is "Orky" doesn't mean it always works. There was once an Ork aircraft captain who believed that friendly fire didn't exist (You shoot at it an' you miss, it's one of ourz. You hit it an' you shoot it down, then it must be one of theirs.). More than half his unit's kills were each other
