Well, didn't expect you to turn up here! I'm honoured! But, the way I see it, there are no factions here who are represented by their entire faction - The Dark Angels chapter isn't on Arkhona in numbers of 1000, but more around 250 at most. This means that some units and factions, who aren't as numerous as some Chapters or Legions can be represented, because the amount of feet on the ground they have in their interety are roughly the same amount as what the others get to have on the planet. Meaning that Freebooters could be a Sub-faction easily enough. They aren't technically equal, but they can be ingame. Besides, as you stated, there's just not that many sub-factions when not talking Marines, which isn't a new problem... So stuff has to happen. Maybe a new Klan to compensate?
I mean i be surprised if it isnt between Blood Axes, Snakebites and whatever third klan will be. And I wanna see my squiggoths run amok on the field, But that brings up the thing of piloting squggoths on the field @Ideas_McGee Didnt one up me dar Bish
*IF* Snakebites were on the roster, it doesn't mean Squigs would automatically be included right away.
That kinda defeats the purpose of adding them to begin with, seeing as its allot of what makes them them. Just like it defeats the purpose of adding Mymeara without the Shadow Spectres, kek.
Well i know but still that means they would be inbound just like shadow specters are for the Toes Craftworld. I can always wait patiently so i can get me da Biggiest Titan-sized squiggoth to appear <3
Eh, what leads to Shadow Specter and Squigs would involve a lot of considerations beyond familiarity to a Sub-Faction, though I don't doubt that's a factor with SSs. We have Blood Angels and no confirmation on Death Company, Dark Angels but no Deathwing/Ravenwing, Iyanden but no Wraith constructs. I hate to be a party pooper but if Snake Bites ride into town I don't expect them to be Cyboar and Squig heavy. But like Djemo they're my favourite Klan (aside from Bad Moonz). I'd vote for them but I would leave it up to the Dev team to consider and gauge whether to vote that way based on how fundamental the zealous Ork community feels about non-hippy Snake Bites.
Hey ya grotz dat be finkin da Freebooter pirates, yas got a story bout da Orky Pirate now ! https://www.eternalcrusade.com/game/stories/431-X-Marks-Da-Spot It's beautfil enough to make a Warlord cry... Guys get on dis and maybe wez know a notha player for da Orks!
Oi! Listn' up you lot! Deres whole lotta' shiny bitz down dere an da kaptin iz gunna lead us dere! Uz don' leik it uz can tell me choppa wut uz fink. You sods undastand?
My bet for the Ork vote is Blood Axes, Snake Bites and the minor clan White Spiders (as there would be no colour palette clash between them and the major clans) - although that might split the Snake Bites vote as I believe the White Spiders are an offshoot clan of theirs - but I want Blood Axes to win anyway because they're hilarious As for Freebooterz, I'm expecting to see some piratical-themed Ork armour/clothing options either unlockable in game or from the store. Orks from any clan can become Freebooterz - or Kult of Speed freaks for that matter. CSM Chapters... Past the 9 traitor legions, and the massive legion-like warband that is the Red Corsairs, there are still plenty of chapter/company-size Chaos Marine Warbands you could use ( http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Chaos_Space_Marine_Legions_and_Warbands_(List) ) - as you'll know You guys have said that the 4 "cult" legions won't be in for launch, so you're going to have to take a dip into the Chaos Marine warband pool very soon, at least once, if we're going to get 3 choices for the Chaos Marine 5th faction vote. Maybe twice if Red Corsairs are out due to sharing a main colour with the Word Bearers There are plenty of minor Eldar Craftworlds too if GW are willing to let you be creative at filling in details... or being first source to reveal them - as lore-wise I think the only detail we outsiders know for some of the minor craftworlds is their name. So unless you're planning to add extra sub-factions a lot faster than I suspect, I would say that Orks will be your only problem case for at least the next few years... unless of course GW lets you start inventing minor clans.
Coupled with the fact that I don't really understand the internet's pirate obsession anyway, Bluddflag as a character and his absolutely awful voice ruined Freebootaz for me. Sure, Warhammer is often a silly universe, but they feel too gimmicky. Maybe that's just me being a hipster git, but the point still stands. Snakebites would have my vote for bringing the most unique vibe to the table even without their luvly squigs. Being considered backwards even by Orks' standards is no easy feat.
