Well i'm all for armor/weapon customization just as long as it doesn't interfere with game play performance. Problem is that there is always gonna be a trade-off at this point. I think in one stream they mentioned the dark angels as an example, where they discussed the difficulty of making all those fancy robes work in EC. I think we're gonna have to accept a middle-lane compromise on this one. The recoloring of Armor however should be very restricted IMO, after all we ARE gonna be a part of a very specific army, so we shouldn't be able to go too crazy. Some minor possibilities to make the character unique and stand out on the battlefield would be nice. They have however already promised that the veteran warriors will be easily recognizable in combat, so i'm not worried at all that will be possible.
yes color restrictions sound fine to me, but its the bits and dodads that always sell me like wolf pelts and tails fangs, iron halos, helmets, and everything else...
They could treat it a bit like the Third War for Armageddon. 24 different chapters took part under the overall command of the Black Templars (in space) and Salamanders? (on the ground). Why not let the players have their own armour colours?
Eh? As I understand Warhammer 40k is based around players creating their own armies, with individual colour schemes.
Not even close... those are custom armies paint schemes but they are still falling under a chapter. Unless they do their own paint scheme for TT thats for giggles and not real play. Then Im guessing your talking about THQ space MArine then no thats a lie
I mean Look at the Rainbow Warriors of the Space Marines I mean i wouldn't want this to run all over the field, it just get annoyin to figure out what legion this sucker is in
