Man the news about the ships and customization sound great. I just hope teh customization will include colorization of armor. For any guilds that want to become a 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc Founding Chapter. That's half the fun of the hobby is the coloring.
If you actually won fights in matchmaking and leveled up your army. You'd find all of your units looking akin to this in detail and decouration. Right click and open a new window or tab to see the original size.
Just learned from the Q&A that they will consider the option to mount trophies and awards to your gear. They even took note "literally" about allowing you too harvest skulls from the dead.
I'm pretty curious about character creation, or at least, what they have planned for character creation. One of the developers on here was talking about speaking with Games Workshop about skin-tones of the different Astartes; so one can assume you can actually see skin, which I again assume, is only the face. Still, only an Astarte with an Iron Halo goes in to battle without his helmet on, and those are pretty damned rare. Iron Halos are relegated to Chapter Masters and those few Veteran Astartes who have proven exceptional valour in the battlefield; Iron Halos like a lot of Chapter armaments, are holy relics and aren't handed out willy-nilly. I can probably find the link to the developer post talking about skin-tone if anyone wants it.
Yeah, that's where I was going with my comment about them being rare. There's a fairly intense conversation regarding the availability of Terminator Armour as well.
It might probably some high-end customization alternative for melee orientation, no doubt there will be some cost and sacrifice for it. And yeah, Terminators look like they'll be Eternal Crusade's MAX-unit, cost to deploy and with a cooldown on it. So it'll be the 5th Class or somesuch. I hope it's a less common sight than the Max-spam that was Planetside 2 though, but at the same time, we all want to play as one at some point.
If they go the route with Planet Side 2 Maxes they may implement a resources system? With Planet Side 2 there are three resources: Weapons, Vehicle, & Equipment. A Max costs Weapon resources, this makes it so players have to earn the resouces after spending them. If the Devs go with this concept it may encourage combat and conquest runs for the game. But let's remember the game is still in it's Pre-Production stage, so we have to wait until next month or the following month to see any news.

Why not create some sort of achievement system where you can visually wear you're achievements on the power armor? kinda that you make the personal heraldry linked with those achievements and that they stay locked until you meet the requirements?
