The Tau, seeing distress on this world have arrived to bring to it peace, and their Greater Good. The mysterious Eldar emerged from the webway and are swiftly seeking to accomplish a goal unknown to any but themselves. Seeing fresh meat, many kabals of the Dark Eldar race around searching for any and all easy prey. The Orks rise up with a mighty WAAAAAGH! seeking to pillage and plunder Khonthoth's riches. The forces of Chaos and their Daemon host have brought war to this world, For Khorne it is a blood baptism for his disciples and for Slaanesh it is the chance to feed on eldar souls. Nurgle will test his new plagues, and Tzeentch will weave and plot. Yet there is a shadow in the minds of the psykers when they gaze to the sky, for the ravenous Tyranids will soon be upon them.
Long story short post your table top results with factions and any fluff you want to throw in, at the end (if the crusade ends) the community will tally up the results and that faction will be the winner! The Consolation prize is an excuse to go play 40k The grand prize is gloating rights Good luck, and Happy crusading! (except for those damn dirty scumbags called Tau, just kidding (but not really))
The Dark Eldar appear, just minding their own business, skimming around with a full army in a peaceful manner, when suddenly the Tau appear! Drones, markerlights, hammerheads, the fishy folk be here! So sayeth the wise archon. The Reaver jetbikes zoomed and fired their blasters, but they were of no use to the uberness of the tau suit! Missiles promptly cut them down, and the riders cursed that their bikes were gone because they liked their bikes and wanted to use them for more killing but they couldn't because the missiles promptly cut down their bikes (takes a deep breath). Duke Sliscus and his warriors were pinned as their raider exploded, and the wyches lost their venom to the first missile that gave it a mean glare. Two wyches died in the explosion, and another one to a lucky shot from somewhere else, and the remaining two ran! The wracks drove their venoms forward, and peacefully tried to negotiate by shooting their harmless splinter cannons at the Tau-drones, making a few of them understand their mistake and stop fighting. Then the stealthsuits came and with the help of some missiles they brought down the venoms as well as a ravager! But the three wracks were not done negotiating. They survived the explosion, and they rallied forward, throwing themselves at the tau lines with an unseen diplomatic bravery! The Tau commander was already late for a party and he was about to leave, but not before the only surviving venom scratched his suit a bit (by mistake ofc) and the three reasonable wracks tried to convince him to stay. But the Tau commander was a skilled man when it came to escaping unwanted conversations, and his mighty hit'n'run tactics got him free from the grasps of the peaceful wracks (who peacefully went to ground the next turn as a diplomatic gesture. None survived). ... it was a moral victory for DE, I am sure.
Thanks for first post Mngwa! Today was tournament day so I have quite a few to post but no time to do so right now! Good thing I kicked the sh*t out of Tau earlier
Lethanuul was spread thin today. Firstly Lethanuul went to the Dark Eldar for assistance in the recovery of an artifact before the mon-keigh of the Imperial Guard could trample over it. The Kabal known as Children of Thorns only demanded slaves and plunder, having no need for these things Lethanuul accepted terms. The Raiders and Vypers made for an unstoppable force moving too fast for the mon-keigh to get a clear shot with anything except the heaviest ordinance, but that was destroyed by the potent fire from a wave serpent. The mon-keigh attempted to flee in droves and the Dak Eldar had their way with those they caught while Lethanuul secured the lost artifact. 1500 point DE/E alliance victory Meanwhile a second strike force was assisting the mon keigh known as "Dark Angels", the odds of victory were slim but the seers deemed the attempt necessary. There was but one goal in this battle, obliterate all opponents and though Lethanuul and the mon-keigh fought bravely they were eventually overwhelmed by heldrakes and defilers, Today Lethanuul weeps as Farseer Threash was slain, he was weak but he needed to give the wounded a chance to escape, he challenged the daemon prince to single combat and though the daemon prince was slain by his witchstaff, Threash was too weak to withstand the onslaught of the followers of hat Daemon prince. 1500 point DA/E alliance defeat Rhaqash Lethanuul, lord of wraithlords, felt the bite of his dark kin being defeated by Tau. Aided by Farseer Suthna, Spiritseer Lothnal, the Guardians of Lethanuul, and the aspect warriors of clan Areshkia he marched. He stepped onto the battlefield, the only thing that was perceivable as a threat to him was a Riptide. Aside from that were Devilfish carrying Fire Warriors, leading them was a truly hated enemy, Shas'o Kri'ototh, the slayer of Exemplar Ishnaluth. The Tau moved unexpectedly gaining the initiative putting the offensivly deployed Lethanuul Eldar at a disadvantage, The Howling Banshees led by Exarch Kyriath were almost destroyed, she alone was the last of her sisters and she would have vengeance. The Wraithlord Rhaqash charged forward firing his scatter laser and shuriken cannon as fast as they would fire and engaged the riptide in melee combat and due to wounds from his shuriken cannons (3 bladestorms Holy Jeebers!) the Riptide pilot was crushed in the wraithlord's grip. Exarch Kyriah moved up and was careful to stay in cover as best she could and weathered a massive firestorm allowing the vypers and wave serpents to move up. Rhaqash saw the distress of Kyriah and moved to engage Shas'o Kriothoth, he absorbed all the fire power he could and engaged Kriothoth, Kyriah saw her opening and wailed as she charged for the Shas'o, rhaqash had wounded the Shas'o and he was about to escape but when he turned about to flee Kyriahs executioner pierced his midsection, The Shas'o wept in his final moments as the last thing he experienced in life was the blood red eyes and the god piercing wail of the vengeful banshee. The Tau army fell apart and the Eldar claimed victory. 1500 point Eldar Victory
The secretive mon keigh called the "inquisition" were foretold to pose a great threat to the eldar unless brother captain Imperitus was slain--should he live the grey knights would be enabled to destroy much of Lethanuul. The Wraith Council was very disturbed by this, the Areshkia clan Aspect Warriors needed to be preserved for battle further into the campaign and thus it was with a heavy heart the the Wraith Council sanctioned a battlehost of guardians, vypers, and wave serpents as well as wraithguard support led by Farseer Suthna. Suthna cast the runes and read that he would only achieve victory by allowing his enemy to make the first action. The Grey knights were deployed, a clumsy dreadknight was the first to step forth and shoot while the rest of the grey knights scurried about attempting to find a vantage point. The Lethanuul eldar quickly moved to counter them, Suthna knew something was not right and all their forces had not been brought to bear but there was nothing he could do about them until they arrived. the massive amounts of shuriken weaponry brought by vypers and wave serpents alike were able to cut down the "dread"knight (blaaaaadestorm). Suthna attempted a mind war with Captain Imperitus, sadly this mon keigh knew how to utilize the warp and Suthna was disoriented by the expirience. The grey knights made an attempt to counter Lethanuul by deep striking 3 squads of terminators to the rear of the wave serpents, some of the mon keigh became lost in the warp, others materialized thousands of feet in the air and crashed to their deaths, but the rest managed to find their way to the field causing a wave serpent to catastrophically explode--the wraithguard inside were not happy to sense that one of their children had died. Fareer Suthna illuminated the targets for the wraithguard enabling them to obliterate the terminators that had killed their child. Guardians began disembarking from their wave serpents and unleashed salvos of shuriken destruction severely weakening the mon keigh. Suthna again attempted a mind war with Imperitus--he was a strong psyker but Suthna's relentless bombardment forced Impertus to his knees where he died convulsing and screaming to get the eldar out of his mind. The grey knights continued their fight but it was like a mouse trying to kill a lion 2000 point Eldar Victory
