This game will most likely survive and become something greater. Even though the game's population is low but it maintains a healthy 1500 concurrent online number. Devs are patching the game at a semi regular schedule and even with the current buggy features and incomplete game play the game's still "fun". Sure there are things that needs work but this game won't die tomorrow. Edit: obligatory, please nerf melee. Edit 2: Boy boycott all Eldar and Guild premade matcahes please.
but maybe the day after it could die, never know, if they truly want to make money let RTC weapons be good by making them skins that can be moddable by us
The first thing that should be fixed up is that fuckin' memory leak. Can't have a game if its unplayable for a lot of people. FYI I can run it, myself. But I know others having major issues. And when I want to play I have to shut off other programs (chrome) to prevent eternal slideshow.
Just in principle, if a game wants to remain not "pay to win", then any thing that money can buy should ONLY be cosmetic. It doesn't matter if the thing money can buy can be surpass or equal to, if players plays a few rounds without paying. Any advantages by definition is "pay to win". If devs wants to milk the game, then they should release ONLY cosmetics and nothing else.
... and optimization, siege battles are, at their current state, battle of lags. Whoever has the least lag wins. Also what's the deal with Eldars driving their transports INTO the cathedral? BOYCOT ELDAR GAMES GUYS. Game population is low, sure. But not low enough to boycott Eldar matches.
Open Steam, select Eternal Crusade, Click on "Community", there should be # displayed for current online players.
Space Marines can also drive their Rhinos into buildings. Both Eldar and Astartes do it through an exploit apparently, and if the game had any sort of anti-cheating system they'd probably be banned for it by now.
