Alright, so I have been playing the game since the day it came to Steam. It has run fine, lowest settings, 30-60 FPS no problem at all. I have played nearly every day since with no problem. Game launches, and I get stuck with steady 0-3 FPS. Completely unplayable. All my settings are still at lowest and turned off. Did the game get a graphic engine overhaul on release? Am I just going to be shafted here? I hope this is just a bug. Any fixes or word on it? Specs: GTX 660 AMD A-10 6800K @4.1 8Gig ram
I've been playing for a few hours tonight and my feeling is that game performance has gotten lower during the night. Restarting game/computer does not help and turning graphics to low does nothing. So I have no idea what the problem is and just hope the devs see it too. I at least get between 25-40 fps, but its not easy to play like this. Specs: GTX 780 Intel Core i5 3570k 3,4GHz 16Gb ram
This game is a hog for graphics requirements. Currently the only people getting 60+ fps have 900 series gfx or higher with current up to date newest cpu. Its retarded. The game doesn't even look THAT great and shouldn't given its a big lobby shooter. You can't go nuts on graphics. Optimizations and connectivity to the server are the biggest must haves of shooters. Sadly this game fails at both.
Our specs should be fine, but like you point out optimization is not in place yet. Im certain its something that the devs are looking to perfecting over time. For now though, we have to endure and keep giving the devs feedback

At maximum settings with a 75Hz monitor, I get 25 Frames on Harkus, 40 on smaller maps. 25 FRAMES? Obvious I know but what graphic settings are you using? I have a i7 with 16 GB ram and a AMD r9 270 4 gig with the in game graphic setting at high on 1920x1080 borderless full screen and all the new settings in advanced left at default and I have not had any low fps issues As it seems the EC peeps don't want to give us any hints about what settings have what impact, trying different ones is about all you can do
Same config than you but with an I5 and 8Gb of Ram and I average 20FPS with complete freezes in melee
I have absolutely everything turned on except for DoF (Horrible for shooters. Absolutely horribleeee) and Motion blur. The only way I can get decent FPS is with lowest settings at which I get ~140 FPS which is still way too low for a game that looks this poor. In my technical assumption, it could be the amount of shaders BHVR uses. They tend to be using shaders for absolutely everything in place of stuff like bump maps or actual modeled on textures, meaning our games are having to constantly re-render the light and textures rapidly. Dare I call it an overreliance.
Seems like I'm not the only one with piss poor FPS. I'm getting around 20-40 FPS on the lowest possible settings and resolution and my PC isn't THAT bad either. This is just piss poor optimization on their part, no excuse now that the game is out. I understood that it was alpha, I even understood that they couldn't keep their promises and even accepted that it might turn out into a mediocre lobby shooter but now I can't even fucking play this piece of shit due to the crappy optimization?! REALLY?! *sigh* They really should optimize this piece of crap before moving on towards other things.
