Okay this is just some of my musings but what's to keep back that tactical marine you just beat senseless but didn't kill ? A crippling mechanic would say this like you hit them so much their ( random body part ) gets crippled like the leg would slow them down or the chest decreasing their overall health their arm would decrease their attack if crippled just my idea what do y'all think
Not against it, but not much point for it either. This would be like the car-customization in SaintsRow4. Great that it is there, but you never really use cars because you run/fly faster. I would not mind if this was implemented, but I do not think it is on the list really.
They bleed out after a duration. This should be the idea , like in many similar games with a downed state. They cannot get up by themselves and die after a period of time.
Wouldn't you aim for the head anyway? usually in games the head is the weakest point, or deals more damage then it would on other body parts. So why not aim for the head with/without this feature implemented?
I don't know about a crippling mechanics for players but for vehicles could be pretty cool. You could have a squad of guys gun down/explode an enemy transport vehicle's tires/tank treads so that they could lose control of steering and be ineffective or something. Could be neat especially for closed top vehicles where explosive weapons could blow off the tops off transport vehicles if they got weak enough, so that longer ranged classes could kill key classes like medics/mechanics/specialist weapons guys as they speed around the battlefield.
