Wait, i got prompted with the empty character screen but i could create with my reserved name. I hope they arent doing another wipe, whats the point of a "headstart" if you wipe again tomorrow?
I really don't know anymore. I used my usual name on my Eldar character, even though my Eldar character has a different name, while Redthirst is the reserved name of my LSM character. And yet it can't be the feature that they scrapped, because why would they remind us about it then?
Whatever the case i hope they come out with a announcement from any dev soon, i dont wanna be playing like a madman now only to see it all get deleted. If they are wiping again tomorrow id rather know so i dont bother today.
What was the point of reserving character names when you have to create fresh ones anyway? Its like we were playing pretend that guild and character reservation was a thing.
Per yesterday's update from the Nathan: "Tomorrow Thursday the 22nd we will take down the servers at 3PM EST , wipe everything, give you your RTC back and such, except the things which you're of course supposed to have as a Founder and other packs you might have bought. Since we want to continue to be nice, we will bring up the servers as soon as we can so all y'all that have the game get a couple of hours head start while we do heavy monitoring and make sure all the things are working. Note, if something disastrous happens on this Thursday, you may be subject to all sorts of things while we monitor and test. This progress will not be wiped. Consider it a small head start from us to you till Friday launch."
Same. Which begs the question if they do not plan on performing another wipe, then those of us who reserved names (but who cannot actually create those name nor are they yet created for us) cannot do anything until official launch tomorrow?
Good question! I got home and logged on, had no created characters, but was lucky to be able to create my characters with the names I had reserved. I hope they don't do something to eff that up and wipe what progress I make tonight.
