We aren't usually on the same page but I would take this a step further and make it so you can evade out of snare and stuns. They would need to slightly slow the stamina regen as well. This way it makes the evade more useful as a survival tool and make stam gear more valid. So you get dbashed and stunned forever? evade. You get slowed? evade to break lock briefly. As it is currently, if you get any of these effects on you, your dead. It does nothing to the enemy to allow you to survive a bit longer, and it's not giving you any advantage over the attacker.
If you want to counter gravs snare 1) Use weapon with longer range-conveniently ALL of them have also higher DPS. 2) Use JPA and land on grav user. If you're being shot at already, congrats, you were ambushed/unaware of surroundings/in bad place if you can't jump to cover within 2 seconds.
Well I traded with a Grav-Cannon! Had my base Shuriken Catapult, with as much armour as I could stack. Stood as close to him as possible (within 12m) and landed every headshot. I killed him with 1/4 health left. Support Weapon!
Grav cannons kick like a damn mule powered with promethium. I've been using it and appreciating the people who can keep the thing on track cause it wants to point at the sky and bring it crashing down instead of the thing in front of you.
The Grav Cannon is specifically for when you've stopped giving a fuck about anything other than working on your recoil compensation.
I'm strongly against any mechanics that take away control from the player, hence why i think all of these should be removed from the game: Any form of Stuns, D-bash should be a Riposte, getting hit by and explosion already does enough damage to punish you for it. Lock-on, you may find it advantageous in some situations, but you're not controlling that character. Once these two are gone, you have my full support at allowing the use of evasive maneuvers while snared by Grav Weapons, as long as those are in, it's only coherent that Grav Weapons should not allow the use of evasive maneuvers.
