Would be cool if they had something like what they have in LoL, but if it were implemented then it definitely wouldn't be updated as often as it is for LoL. Either way, way too soon to be talking about this =P.
I think it would be cool if they had a image of the in-game map that shows where there is actual fighting going on Maybe like the location with the most conflict
i agree, someone can think it's a useless feature but, a great log in screen is really important for the feeling of a game, in some game you can HATE the log in screen in other you LOVE the log in screen.
I'd like the log in screen to zoom in from being the view of a large area of space, moving down to system view, then plant and finally continent. On a separate note: I'd like for the character creation screen to show my Marine getting fitted with his Power Armour.
A universal login screen of the map with active-area notifications sounds pretty frickin sweet. I wouldn't mind character or faction specific screens either once you do reach your character screen. Anyway, as long as it's pretty and there is bearable music/sound effects I'm not super concerned. If it's not pretty I'ma be so pissed though. Gotta be pretty.
uuh brings me the idea to have a fighting scene in background while chosing the faction which you are playing for today in the background is a melee fight between 1 of all factions standard class (so lots of combos and blockings etc) which is taking place on a battlemarked field (some fires, bombcraters, corpses laying around etc) the fighters will change to your char once you already got one in any of this factions and if you chose your faction then the fighter of the faction kills all 3 enemies in some cool combos after that he saluts you (in a factionspezific way for sure) and is waiting to get deployed
I'd personally prefer a background similar to the style of Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne/Reign of Chaos. The login screen is at first, a land which is torn asunder by a "never ending conflict". There are dead bodies lying around the battlefield, and heavily wounded soldiers of each race trying to desperately kill each other, but to no avail. Banners stand tall on the landscape but their symbolism is meaningless in such a catastrophical outcome. When you log in for the first time, you will be taken to the character creation screen where you can choose your race. They have different backgrounds (Armory for Space Marine, a outpost looking place full of scrap metal for orks etc). Once you have created your character and selected it, the log-in screen will change the next time you log in to something more different. Your chosen faction can be seen rolling around the battlefield, looting and moving forward with an army. There's a rock that stands taller from the rest of the landscape and your charcter stands vigilant on it, overseeing the landscape and thinking about the conflicts, yet to come It might be hard technical wise, but something like this would be really cool
