Well maybe the devs will see your opinion and take a look at what they are doing. I do hope this game is going to be good. I personally have high hopes but there is still the chance that it could go all wrong.
It's hard to argue that the founders program is not P2W. If what Miguel said about sidegrades is true, that they can be obtainable through gameplay, then the founders program is simply a "pay to skip time and get a exclusive skin". I honestly don't see the probably in that, considering an E-sport like League of Legends can get away with the rune system and how you can buy boosts to get them faster. Comparing that to EC it seems like it could be much worse.
As long as were just talking about a heads start with possibly bonus starter gear thats common or stuff you get the first week or so its fine. End game/ more rare stuff shouldnt be in the store, the hero and elites are a concern. Anything with other game mechanics that are exclusive/ behind a paywall is a possible problem..
Basically the only real problem I have with the founders program is that goddamn Vyper. The weapons I'm opposed to being different on a more or less philosophical basis because I think it's a slippery slope, but in all honesty I don't think they look all that threatening right now unless the devs really go off their rocker and give them all sorts of crazy abilities that can't be otherwise obtained. But that Vyper, that Wartrak, and to a lesser extent those assault bikes (I think they're a bit less iconic), I think making those exclusive is a one-shot game breaking maelstrom of bullshit. If people can't play one of the most iconic Eldar vehicles that's been included in every Warhammer game with Eldar to date, just because they didn't trust a studio with a notoriously poor history six months in advance, there will be no fixing the PtW allegations. Same goes for the Ranger, the Posessed Marine, and the Autarch. I mean really, do people seriously think you can just lock classes like that up for paying players alone and expect that'll go down well with today's already resentful and anti-F2P gaming market?
Once again, before you bust a circuitboard, every light vehicle in the store appears to be a two seater when the more common version is a single seater. There has been little information about the light vehicles, so how about you actually ask them if they plan on adding in a Vyper variant that is not founders exclusive before decrying it as a bunch of bullshit.
I have asked. I've been asking since it was first announced 6 months ago (I was a lot more polite then, too). The whole reason I'm complaining is because there's been no written response, and while I don't want to assume the worst the worst is being inferred pretty strongly right now. There's no comparison between a light tank with 36o degrees of firing freedom and a single firing vector uncovered bike. They're both useful but have completely different purposes. You wouldn't compare an ATV to an army Humvee.
