Think all four release chapters will see groups such as yours mate, biding their time until their own chapter is officially added. Hope the salamanders get a decent addition in the game with some additional background to go along with it
I have an idea for you. Don't choose the faction you play... Choose the people you play with and play the faction they play. That's how I came to the clan I play with. I was a member of the original DA Chapter on PS3 when SM released. They were quite inactive and unorganized so I started running with the better players I ran into. Well, I left the game for a month because of work and when I came back these guys had formed the Soul Drinkers... I wasn't keen on purple but I went with it for my friends. We've only been beaten in 1 official match and stand as the longest and highest ranking Chapter on PS3. And now these guys have become lifelong friends. I say forget choosing what you play. Get with your friends... or jump on Space Marine or Planetside 2 and make friends and then play what they are going to play.
i have a feeling you will be able to buy new chapter and clan skins later on once the game it up and running.
Perhaps, though reading between the lines i really got the impression that all the major chapters will be added properly rather than just a skin, also there is talk of faction specific traits such as space wolves having abilities the others do not and so on, so a skin wouldn't fit in with this. But two years to go so wait and see there may be the option to create your own chapter by release
There is talk of the ability to buy customizable packages so we will see. As skotton said, 2 years to go. A lot can happen.

X_X smart but annoying., Ultramarines i dont hate or love.... just over commercialized.. Blood Angels dont seem too bad... we shall see... [EDIT] Space Wolves are cool cause of the whole viking beer drinkers of 40k, and i seem rather fond of the power axe.....
