Constant Mini Freezes Making Game Unplayable, Solutions?

I recently bought Eternal Crusade and when I can actually play the game I've found it quite enjoyable. However that is very rare as most of the time I am struggling to even move let alone actually fight someone. Roughly, about every 10 seconds the game freezes, after another 10 seconds the game will unfreeze, allowing me to play again. Most of the time when it unfreezes I find myself collapsed in a heap because some came along, saw me standing there like a statue and tore me to pieces with a chainsword. Some times I'm lucky to have 30 seconds without it freezing. I've set the quality settings to low, no changes. I've reinstalled it, no changes. And I've even chanted litanies of the Omnissiah, and still no changes. Anyone having the same problem? Anyone have a solution? If you think it's a hardware problem here are my specs:

    GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
    CPU: i5-3570k Quad Core 3.40GHz
    RAM: 8 GB

If you want further details on specs, just ask.

In patches prior to Live, setting Eternal Crusade to High Priority fixed this for me; however, since Live I'm running into a similar issue (though the freezing is rare, like a handful of times per match...still, it gets me killed a lot).

At first I suspected it may be due to server issues since they're pretty overloaded right now, but I've noticed that other issues coincide with this freeze...like when my machine stutters, all audio stops functioning in Discord for the exact duration of the stutter. I also run an I5, but a 2500k Quad Core 3.3GHZ with 16 GB of Ram and a GTX 980Ti...I'm beginning to suspect that the game might be hogging/locking my CPU at those times.

Same processor as me, and I've also found setting the client to high priority ameliorates the freezes.

However I do fear that it may be time for a CPU upgrade.:(

...and I'll probably need a motherboard with a more up to date socket...

...and my case is a little worse for wear.

Oh, and RAM is so cheap nowadays...

    ...oh dear

guys i have same problem but i also got soluttion till devs gona reaper their ... broken game, solutions is to put it on high priority in task menager.

I stated above that while High Priority does help to alleviate this for some (it did for me in prior patches), it does not work for me for the 3-second 'stutters' I'm encountering now. It's not freezing, it's more like I'm completely de-sync'd from the game for a couple of seconds: Whatever action players were committing when the issue occurs, the players continue to do...IE, run in a straight line. Then a couple of seconds later, everything is sync'd back up and the player positions go back to what they were doing before. When I'm in close-proximity to the enemy when this happens, the best I can do is spam melee attack and hope that I blindly melee them down by the time everything sync's back up...the actions you commit during this period seem to happen real-time on the server, but you can't see what's happening in order to properly control your actions during said time.

moved the game on the SSD drive. friezes disappeared. and it helped a friend.

I've read that some people have considered removing indexing form their hard drive to fix this, but I'm not sure if that would have any effect here or whether it would have any impact on a non-SSD (I don't have an SSD, sadly).

My opinion ist still "Devs should fix it asap"
