<Lord Maximilian & Saint ( @DaKaptin )> Eventually the Saint was led to the Lords chambers when tracked down by the Lieutenant. He awaited in front of the chamber, ensuring privacy. "Good morning, Saint." Maximilian bowed deeply and offered a seat on the comfortable couch for her in front of the fireplace. "I appreciate your arrival, it certainly can be taken as good omen. Given that you came here to bless our endeavors, rather than taking sins off my shoulders." The Lord said with a smile, settling slowly for his seat when his guest would do too. <Lionheart Breakfast - Delphi> The woman simply remained silent, sinking further in her seat. At least their mother tried to settle things.
- Saint Kateri Pietas, before Kateri nodded to both of her sides, signaling the others it was alright. For the followers of Saint Lexarius, and His Holy Church, a living saint is fanatically protected. However, this did not imply they were protected by swords or shields. To harm or kill a saint was the greatest of sins, immediate execution was the punishment. Less the God-Emperor's wrath be incurred. Kateri removed her hood, her hair was dark andcut short. Facing the Lieutenant with a warm smile. She raised her right hand, offering to shake the Lieutenant's. "Lieutenant Stahlpanzer, a true please to meet you. I am Kateri Pietas of St. Lexarius' Church. My company has traveled long into the early morning. Any lodgings is graciously welcomed. However, the business we have with Lord Maximilian Lionheart takes president. If you would please escort me to him, I would be most grateful. This day is truly blessed and will further His divine will. Please lead on."
"A very prudent insight into the matters Lord Glowerstone."spoke young Antonio, the chains on his outright weird, oversized necklace dinging as they collided together.Since all the rings were of different materials, sizes and generally shape, they produced unique, calming and generally serene sounds. "But i have already countered that, since we cannot be paralyses by such...seemingly trivial matter.I have a flock of ravens that accompany my family. They will not succumb to any illness,no matter how grave it is."spoke Antonio with a smile. "I will be honored to lend you one of the specimen. They are unique...and they do not exist outside of the ex-realm of de Vergara.Considering the state in which is the South, they very well may be the last of the kind..."spoke handsome foreigner...a traces of tragedy and incredible sorrow thick in his voice.Whenever he spoke of such things his voice would have that strange tingling of sorrowful flavor.
<Lieutenant Stahlpanzer - Before> "Of course. He should be at breakfast with his family right now, let me arrange a private audience. In the meanwhile, have a seat to rest your legs." He gestured toward a chair near the entrance to the depth of the Lion's Den Hall. The man bowed before marching off. His steel making the typical noise with each step. After a couple of minutes, longer than one would expect it would take, he returned to the Saints side, somewhat exhausted as his heavy breathing suggested. "Apologies for the delay, Saint of His eminence. Lord Maximilian is making arrangements in his private quarters, it took me a bit of... Research to find him. Alas, he is ready to welcome you in his chambers, if you please." Stahlpanzer once more bowed deeply, although had a bit problems coming back up.
"Yes yes....if you need help, I'll help," Lin spoke while eating, her interest in highborn talk high as her interest in fishing. Actually, her whole focus was on food now since she knew she needed a filled stomach if she was to spend their journey without any problem.
- Kateri Pietas Kateri bowed in respect to the Lord, "Please Kateri will suffice, Lord Lionheart, and these endeavors effect us all. Your long service and donations to the Church has been well recieved by our Order. The least we could do is bless you and your house in the trying times ahead. There is still much to complete before the God-Emperor's judgment." Kateri did not sit right away. Instead she stood before the fireplace, warming her hands. The morning air was oddly cool, but the fire's warmth was inviting. 'From a single spark, an inferno can arise. Forged into the weapon of mankind. Like all before Him, the inferno bends to the service of the God-Emperor. Amen' Kateri praised in his name. Then taking a seat. "How can we be of service to you Lord Lionheart?"
<Maximilian Lionheart - Private Quarters> "The tournament would be much better received if we could have envoys from the church to bless the participants before they engage in combat. And of course to have a saint with the lords to remind all that He is watching all of the event. Also...." The Lord sighed and leaned back, trying to relax but finding it hard to find the proper words or better said to express them to an actual saint. "A delegation is going to Mount Lykaion, the Main Fort of the Lykaions. A shrine boy already volunteered to join with a sage. So perhaps a proper priest could move with the delegation. It would reduce the danger of instant annihilation immense. Even though I know that it is not of your duties and that none of the church should nurture arrogant and egoistic goals." As usual, Maximilian was honest, and despite not talking about the details of the delegation he felt just about it. Especially since the only reason he didn't mention them yet, was the stress induced by his family, the preparations and the fact that Kharonis guests are to be expected...
<Undisclosed location> Twelve black robes filled the dark room. The only light source was the three candles evenly spread across the oval table. Each on of there faces were hidden, revealing nothing of race, religion, gender. Of course one could tell by there talk, but the secretiveness was not meant for them. They were all bickering about the world affairs. One sat higher then the rest. Looking down upon them. "Silence!" The leader roared. "Please, Maxus tell us what the current issue of today's gathering." "Hierarch, as you already know the Lionheart's are planning to go to war with the Kharonis. This cannot happen, not yet! We have too much time spread are influence there. For it all to be wasted because that damn overzealous king wants to rule the world! He has no right! He barley even knows how to wipe his arse without a servant. He has a tournament, we should eliminate him and take out the rest of that pitiful family! " Another stood up after Maxus finished talking. "No! This is a blessing in disguise. Let the Lion stretch out his resources and spread himself thin. Then we may deal with situation when the time comes!" "Enough!" the Hierarch's voice boomed. "I will need time to think. We wait and see for now. But first, this is what we will do..."
- Kateri Peitas "Those of my deligation are more than prepared for such rituals and I would be more than happy to assist in the tournament. Anything we can do to ensure the tournament runs without incidents benifits us all." Kateri's light expression changed with mentioning of Lykaion territory. It is a harsh and rugged place, the people of the hills were many and their beliefs varried among the numerous clans. All working together in times of war or great hardship. They would be powerful allies, but not the most reliable. "The Church's presence in that territory are scarce and the people have proven less than welcoming. Many missions have been sent to spead the teaching of the God-Emperor, few have returned. What do you seek from the land of wolves?"
<Maximilian Lionheart - Private Quarters> "A disease plagues them. We send an envoy to heal them. My council suggested to go ahead and abuse it, trick them and seize them while they are sick. But that would be honorableness. Not to forget it truly is sincere, not to force them into an alliance. It is just that especially the Lykaions seek death in war, to die from disease is more than a mere disgrace to them, it would imply weakness of their bodies. No man of His eminence is allowed to despair if another can help. Or however Saint Larraman exactly said." The Lord laughed on his lack of capability to quote. "I fear I am more a general than a scholar." He admitted and drank from his glass of water. "To a degree, perhaps I want them to believe that the God-Emperor himself cured them, rather than our herbs and liquids. I am not completely sure myself. I only know if war is to come, we all should be completely fit. It is a war in His name, after all."
