Unlike my Kin who inspired me, I have not been on Arkhona since the Mon-Keigh were all that fought on this planet. But none the less, Khaine smiles upon my for my works. When I joined the game I was disappointed because I could not play my favorite Aspect: the Warp Spiders, I soon learned how foolish I was for not appreciating the power of a Striking Scorpion. I now make my home in the shadows, waiting, watching, stalking. As I played, I watched many a glorious warrior fall before my chain-blades. Sometimes I wonder if every unsuspecting victim I slay is in dream; surely none could be so unaware of the shimmer in the corner? I started small; dispatching a Tactical every few minutes, then I graduated to Ground Assaults. They would walk into a room, seeing nothing but the point they intended to capture or they Dark Reaper they intended to kill. That's when I made my move. A strong attack from behind and a simple swing after they were stunned was all it took. A painfully easy kill. That was when my hatred for Apothecaries was born. I had perfected my craft; killing an entire rooms worth of enemies with naught but the last left to stare in horror at my bloody works, all for nothing when I turn and find every being I had slayed alive and well. That however, was the least of their transgressions. For a time, you see, Apothecaries were better at being Scorpions than Scorpions; they had access to poison long before us and all they had to do was hit me once while I went about my work and I was doomed. After I had seen what they could do, I made every Apothecary on Arkhona fear my name. I thought I was A master of the silent kill before my great hunt, but I had no idea how quickly I could truly go about my work. I found a new quarry soon enough though. this happened around the time Plasma Cannons became the best weapon in the game. If, dear Reader, you are unfamiliar with a Plasma Cannon allow me to describe it. A Plasma Cannon is not unlike a Tempest Launcher in its role; there is however one large difference: they are better in every possible way. An unavoidable ball of star-hot gas which rockets forward as fast as a Shuriken that, when it hits something, explodes in an area of effect wider than a capture point, kills anything in its radius regardless of health, toughness or armor, and wraps around walls so far that I have to whisper so as to not completely shed the laws of physics. this is what a Plasma Cannon shoots. I found these weapons and those who wielded them to be quite annoying. So I kill them. Ever since I found these targets I laugh. I laugh as I slowly approach the marine's back. I laugh as I slowly rev my chain sword. I laugh as I trigger the taunt button right before the strike. I laugh when my blow shreds his flesh apart. I laugh as he lays before my begging for his comrade to help. I laugh as I set him upright on his knees and slice him in two with my blade. I laugh as I do it to the Devastator next to him without anyone noticing, just like last time. I laugh so much I think I may forgo my Aspect and join a troupe of Harlequins. This, my Kin, is my role. Hunt, Kill, Execute, Repeat. I have come to Arkhona to War, and WAR I SHALL. Thanks to my Fire Dragon Brethren who inspired me.
Well, at least you're out there killing plasma cannons and apothecaries. That's what I ranted for. Also I am apparently claiming all the first responses for these confession pages.
Welcome to the warhost, stalk well hunter Personally until I get my Claw and Mandi Blaster, the path of the seer will keep me
I was playing chaos because I was bored today, it seems scorpion melee is messed up, I was interrupting defensive bashes with fast attacks.
I really don't think I would play with a Claw were they in the game. I'm not a fan of slow weaponry in general and I have a feeling that stealth insta-death would set off some people. Mandi blasters however, I want more than anything right now.
Tip:Always heavy attack. It does devastating damage from stealth, and crushes through Dbashes, and is almost as fast as the light attack. It may just be me, but I feel like mandiblasters are a bit minor. Scorpions can do well right now without them, it's better to help the really bad classes like DA and Reaper. Edit: Besides, if mandiblasters are actually useful when added, the LSM will just cry for a nerf to being useless. I'm still more than a bit angry about the LSM shite going on.
@infiniteneen , shadow hunter and my warrior-kin, how do you cope with these accursed shield bros? Do you find their coward tactics effective against your biting sting?
I usually wait until they've ran past and smack them in the back. If I'm elevated I can drop a grenade on them and then let someone else deal with them. Pairing up with a DR is always helpful. DR can help knock the armour and health down and when they get close enough your SS delivers a coup de grace nice and close like.
