Inspired by http://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/confessions-of-a-fire-dragon.61590/ , the similar threads should be created devoted to every Aspect of Khaine :D

Once my gaze descended upon Arkhona and the primitives fighting for dominance over this desecrated planet my heart was filled with awe and expectations both. At some point I knew that the Children of Stars must arrive on the world which had belonged them millenia before filthy brutes learned speech yet I was saddened to see only hordes of mon-keigh swarming once beautiful and fertile soil of this planet. I didnt want to play for Space Marines or their corrupted brethren (there are really not so many differences between them, you know....), I waited for my beloved Eldar to arrive on Arkhona like a fiery tempest and utterly smash foul primitives from its surface like a hurricane scatters dust from the ground.

I waited, and waited, and waited.....the launch of Eldar has been postponed several times for the cunning of the Dark Gods and their Dark Apostles (I mean devs) is beyond comprehension and it was the time I tested toughness of my Eldar soul to its limits.....when the most glorious race this galaxy has ever beheld was finally launched on live servers I was weeping hot tears for, apart from many nerfs and imperfections, my favourite Aspect Warriors lacked the most magnificent and ferocious of their Aspect of Khaine - Howling Banshees.

It was obvious for me that daughters of Jain Zar were deliberately prevented from joining their already fighting kindred by cunning devs whose souls are utterly devoted to the Dark Gods because they knew that once wailing ghosts of Khaine unleash the tempest of blades upon the primitives Arkhona will swiftly be captured by Eldar. I was disappointed when Jain Zar's disciples were finally allowed to enter the slaughter for their unearthly magnificence was greatly diminished by the Chaos powers - yet, the more I played them, the harder I tried to adapt.

When I sprint into battle I fear nothing for my scream instills pure terror in the trembling hearts of mon-keigh and greenskins. My blade sweeps left and right and no bullet can hit me (only power fist.....). I and my dear sisters always spearhead any attack and there is no force capable of withstanding our fury - no matter how many shield bros, apothecaries or orks face us they are always cut down mercilessly. There is no class truly capable of opposing my agility - where Fire Dragons and Dark Reapers advance implacably, suppressing primitives with direct fire of their mighty weapons, I always run to the enemies, dodging and leaping from their clumsy fire until they, terrified, suddenly find me screaming in their face and my blade dancing through their armour, flesh and bones.

There are, however, some cunning and unworthy tactics employed by primitives to defeat glorious daughters of the Phoenix Queen. Brave Space Marines hide behind their shields and take mighty power fists with them, fighting with total lack of grace and beauty yet sometimes it helps them to prevail.....I trust the scions of Baharroth to cut down those coward primitives who are too afraid to face me blade-to-blade and instead prefer to fire from distance, while courage and noble shadow hunters of Karandras always stalk in shadows, eliminating any ambushes awaiting me or my sisters.

Soon I'll become Exarch and trapped forever on the Path of the Warrior but it pleases me that I've found my favourite Aspect of the Bloody Handed God. I welcome as many Eldar players as possible to join my shrine and howl the doom of primitives with me, shoulder to shoulder. Although our psychic scream is greatly diminished it still can be applied with proper efficiency.

Arkhona will belong to Eldar again! Ancient Days Reborn are coming! Hail the Phoenix Queen!

Is not a post about someone doing an objective task-capping, tankhunting, or support. You might as well write a post about playing JPA for all I care. At least you're not a striking scorpion.

Let's not lie, there's a place for SS and SH. Could definitely do with more SS sitting back on capped points and helping hold them, and SH can cover so much map and swarm any point in defense.

But they shouldn't be on the offense. Not when I'm struggling as a lone DA on a team of 15 to start all the caps. Not when there's no warlock to sustain. Not when I could really do with the heavy firepower of a DR, or the map is covered in tanks and there's no FD. The very best that I can say about the HB is she tends to stay with the capper instead of heading off on her own like a SS. I'm fighting with the HB, where the SS seems to use me as bait.

I'm happy for people who play their favourite shrine, really am. But I've been in games where I'm the only DA and I'm pulling second duty as a FD, while bands of SH and SS sit on points complaining about how weak eldar are and whining that the lone DA hasn't started a cap. Meanwhile I'm bogged down trying to get in because DA can't stealth or fly.

And hey, I'm ok with people playing their shrine, a good eldar team will have the mix. But for a long time I've been seeing a shortage of DAs, warlocks, and FDs. If you're not playing one of those roles in a match, I really need you to ask yourself if you should be. You don't need to learn all the shrine runes, but learn those three and check your team composition when you spawn in.

TBH Scorpions are more useful for melee right now. Though nothing tops the Warlock.

    Except Sprint Attacks themselves... :p

Also, what about the male Banshees. Are they sisters too?

Ah, I wouldn't mind being surrounded with sisters... You know, they're not family, after all. And you rarely see any male Banshees, so it will be even better for me. :p

They ARE family, even closer, I'd say, since preserving your fellow warrior's life is something much more than simple relations in peaceful times.

And yes, every banshee is a sister, no matter sex, since they're a representation of ancient mythical beings

Yeah, I'd argue that Scorpions are much better front-line fighters than Banshees currently. Unfortunately, most people don't know how to play Scorpions well. A scorpion with the poison sword easily out DPSs the banshee especially sustained DPS. A scorpion can easily roll behind something, crouch for a second and regain their damage bonus. The banshee relies on the scream with a large cooldown that also negatively affects teammates. Not to mention that the scorpion is more durable and can more easily set up kills and get out of bad situations.

Banshees should be the front-line Eldar melee fighter, but they need a lot of work before they'll get to that point. If you're ever thinking of rolling a banshee, you and your team are much better off if you just grab a Warlock, which is sad.

Hopefully the melee animation polish next patch helps Banshees earn a spot.
