Why not special in temperament? More calm (perhaps a bit timid) than the Space Wolves as a whole, but still a young wolfguard? That'd be enough to show that he possesses the Affinity... at least to me.
thats the problem, has allready been done, audiobook thunderwolf. the spacewolves being gregorius and loud is a propaganda tactic they use (mostly) Wolflords like Erik Morkai are deadly calm and patient. You see for all the other chapters it isent allready a thing, you can make a small lore bend and boom, but with spacewolves, they have allmost centered around it.
@Grall_Stonefist Then just make a freakin' young wolflord. Seriously. Yes, the Space Wolves have been taming the wolves for millennia. But that doesn't mean that they all have the Affinity, does it? Perhaps it allows an even deeper bond with the wolf, such as a rudimentary mental communication of emotions (Hungry, In Danger, ETC.) that all other Wolflords don't have. Sorry. This is just meant to be a fun idea, I don't see why it may require such deep thought and picking apart of Canon lore to create a character...
i just wanted to make a good carectar that made sence to me, im all fine and dandy with the lore bend. it just happens to be a thing in one single chapter, its a fun idea, but just with this little part there was allready a thing that had been fleshed out greatly. and i just tried to make sense of it while playing with your rules, thats why i was so inquisitative, becouse even with this small bend i still wanted to make sense of it.
@Grall_Stonefist I apologize for losing my temper. But as I said, just because the Space Wolves have a whole taming shtick doesn't mean that your Beast Tamer cannot be different, given they have the affinity. What do you think of that?
i see what you get at, but allready mentioned that Canis Wolfborn was litterally raised by Fenrisian wolves i think atleast he amongst all should have that kind of afinity, and teach others it since he is a company champion. But i get your points, and i know this seems like some annoying nit picking. but its like a thing I will see if i can come up with something, i am as said all fine and dandy with the lore bend, i just need to find an angle. if not i just cant be a spacewolf, and that would make me sad
@Grall_Stonefist Perhaps he did. Who knows? But that part doesn't matter, as Josun wouldn't take the company champion. Beyond that, the Affinity is not something that is taught. It works like Librarians in the regard that you are either born with it, or not.
