Anyway, as others have said, it breaks the whole rock-paper-scissor design, and that should be enough to warrant it being changed in some way. Whether there should be some delay on attacking after you roll evasively (though I'm not certain how you could detect evasive rolling vs. maneuvering in a fight) or just removing the backstab damage bonus, it certainly fits the qualities of "cheese" right now.

Your patch 17 KDs shown are 1.6:1 and 4.7:1, your prior scores are 2.5:1 and 2:1. Not only is your better KD in patch 17 which you lament as being an 'epic fail', but 4 matches aren't remotely enough to draw any sort of conclusions from. Over a third of the kills in the game are from melee weapons, given that battles start at range on every map and how open ground has to be crossed to reach essentially every capture point that seems like it's working pretty well indeed.
