Renald continued observing the progression of the meeting. Taking notes of many of the suggestions of the personnel. Finally, Renald started up a conversation with the rest of the Mechanicus delegation. He spoke again in Binary, "We will no doubt need to scout out and survey every world for concentrations of minerals, areas of interest, proper colony sites for our initial landing and future expansions. Most importantly, a site to claim for the Mechanicus's operations."
++Of course my Lord. I will endeavour to learn what I can about each of them in turn. Their agendas will be ascertained in good time. However, I find the Pontefex's notion that we should prioritize the construction of Ministorum temples before all else as grossly insulting. I shall request a meeting with the Prefectus Prima and deal with this situation immediately++ Saul replied, ensuring his cant reflected his sincerity. He had no intention causing friction with his superiors if he could help it. ++Additionally, I will inquire as to why our contingent of Skitarii was so needlessly reduced to near ineffective levels. If we were permitted a suitable force, we could protect our personnel without the need to draw on the man power of the Guard. Which would expedite our efforts here. Hopefully, Lady Darius will be receptive++ Saul drew the attention of one of the Administratum Adepts, who made their way over to Saul and leaned in to hear what he had to say. "Pass to your Mistress that I request a private audience at her earliest convenience" Saul instructed. "Of course, Executor. I will bring your petition to her Ladyship's attention." The Adept murmured, tying away at his dataslate. "I will deliver her reply as soon as I can" The Adept strode off to rejoin his fellows in a tight cluster in the Corner. Saul turned his attention to the departing Justicar Rahl. He smiled to himself, admiring the man's nerve. Saul had caught a pict capture of the document the Jusitcsr had flaunted to establish his authority. It had indeed been signed by several of the High Lords, though Saul had noted with satisfaction that the Fabricator-General's had been absent. His eminence would never give such authority to an Arbitrator. This was a legal farce, which violated dozens of established edicts. No Arbite had authority over military forces! No matter. Let the Judge have his way. If he overstepped his authority even slightly, Saul would have all the evidence he needed to report him to Segmentium Command. On that note, Saul gestured over to the General's and Admiral's aides. No doubt they would be inclined to agree with Saul on his opinions. Perhaps a cocktail party was in order. Officers were ever so much more pliable after a few glasses of expensive Amesac.
@Mechiaus Mathius noticed Saul make a gesture towards them and paused in writing in his journal. He looked around him and then back to Saul assuming he was just wishing to speak, "Is there something I may help you with honored executor..." He paused and looked at his notes, "Executor Haxx is it?"
As one of his aides brought the message from the Executor, He nodded and sent the aide back with a reply. The aide, a Staff Sergeant from the Warhawks went to the Executor and saluted. @Mechaius " The General will gladly join the after meeting you have planned and asks if aides are invited? He also requests that the PDF commander to join us. The General isn't a drinker so he will bring his own refreshment." The Staff Sergeant's tone was one of respect that he would give his own officers. @Colapse " Captain Jannika, I liked your plans but since you do plan on scouting I would like a Contingent of my soldiers to join on your ship to provide some protection just in case." General Daimon likes how the meeting went despite the fact the Judge oversteps his authority. " Captain Mathius thank you for your assistance. If you would join my officers briefing after all this it would be appreciated." @matt23
<Magos Artisan Xi-Lomax Zeth> "No plan has ever survived first contact with reality and I do not expect this one to be no different." For a moment Xi-Lomax mused upon the Justicar`s words, more then he should, since his attention was more deserving on way important matters. He found that more then a few of the Magi would disagree with him,but then...matters of war are best left to the warriors. Sitting motionlessly in his chair, completly hidden with his robe,Magos sighted as he retreated in the safety of the noosphere. The psycho-somatic link pulsed, synched with his heartbeat.A small aura of light formed around Executor`s head and Xi-Lomax investigated the free-source data that he was sharing. He sighted again as he relaxed in the comfortness of the opulently decorated,high-backed chair. He allowed himself a moment of vanity as he mused that probably in this entire chamber,he is the only one who is not judgemental.Fluttering of emotions and pre-determined opinions were already present. He could see them in the face-expressions and body language of those present. @seabass Magos Zeth tuned his data-tether to low-frequencies spreaking Lucius dialect of Technis to his apprenta, inaudible to everyone and all, except those blessed by the Machine God: ++We shall formulate such plans once we translate to the system...until then Adept Renald, invite and escort Sar Gale and his Sacrisanct to the Hymn of Forging. We will need him in the scouting effort that is to ensue,also...prepare the Cybernetica detachtment,Enginseer and Logi covens. We will not rely on Imperial Guard on such important task.++ In the wake of Justicar`s leaving,Magos turned his head slightly to Captain Jannika (@Colapse ) speaking again: "Most gracious of you Captain. We will take you upon your offer." Balance of power was always a troublesome thing and not only had he to explain the intricacies of futility on colonizing Ven Primaris so early on...but he had to please the Priests of Mars as well. For a reason he chose the Path of Artisan. @Mechiaus Reading the noospheric bleed,Artisan turned his head to the Ambassador, replying in kind: ++Peace Executor. We must allow those outside of the Cult their needs. It is part of the Great Work...but I agree...ministorum temples are certainly not a priority.Placate yourself...our temples are droped straight from orbit...Ministorum will have to deal with pre-fab shrines for the time being.Besides...massive amount of population is divided between several Adeptas...while I have already designated an amount that goes to the Cult.++ Artisan elaborated as he turned his head toward the Ecclessiarchy delegation.Standing up preparing to leave.Sanctum canister on his left shoulder was obvious,a construction of plexiglass and arcane technology.Inside the glowing green anti-agrapic elixirs shook with the motion of the body. ++They are not needed Executor...for now.Let the other Adeptas wage war in our name...while we toil.We will trust them with our Forges and blessed constructions...for now.Ambassador...i sense your unease with the question at hand...but i say others will not forget the Cult anytime soon.Why...colonization efforts have not yet begun! As for the Administratum...stress our importance in the days to come to their Mistress as well as the importance of good communication. We need mutual share of data and i do not want to keep the them in the dark.I will not have some imbecile clog the oiled machine that we are about to construct.++
@Vulpas Renald nodded and proceeded to do what he has been told. He stood up from his seat and proceeded with Sar Gale and spoke "If you will follow me, I would invite you and your Sacrisanct to join onto the Hymn of forging." There was still the sound of a natural voice, mixed with the Mechanical sound of the Respirator that covered Renald's mouth. Perhaps it was because he did not socialize like this normally with those outside of the mechanicum. OOC: may have made a mistake on who im escorting, thanks Zeth for giving me a hint.
The Commissar had sat silently throughout the meeting, eyes following the Justicar over steepled fingers with little sign to show just what was going on within the political officer's mind. As a man raised and destined for the Guard, Taval could already see the potential friction between the Astra Militarum and it's comrades. It wouldn't do, thankfully the Commissar already had an idea in mind which might smooth things over. Of course, he was no officer. Planning was not part of his job description, though tactical advice was well within his area of expertise. Run this by the Lord-General first. They are his troops after all. Wiping at the immaculate carapace breastplate resting beneath his greatcoat, Taval made for the Lord-General with the crisp march only gained by the careful and harsh tutelage of a drill abbot. Whatever aides and strategic advisors that Draken may have had, they were quick to part before him, some even paling at his proximity. "Lord-General, with your permission I would like to approach the Prefecta with a cooperative effort once we have boots on Tus Primaris. Preliminary scans aside, there is nothing quite like getting the lay of the land. Your Warhawks are well-suited for scouting missions and I am sure that surveying the local regions with whatever specialists Darius has on hand will allow for plans of future infrastructure to be crafted with greater ease. Roads, secondary settlements, perhaps even access to local resources. A pair of Valkyries or Salamanders, a few of your friendlier faced soldiers, myself, and the Prefecta's own personnel should prove sufficient. Your thoughts?"
Daimon nodded his head for the idea the Commissar proposed. "Taval, yes that would be helpful on many fronts. And if you want the mission of an olive branch kind, fine. But I am only giving you two Companies of the Warhawks. They are fine scouts and make the nice core for the mission. Valkyries won't help if foliage is thick though. So take a Battalion of Spectres for the mission. Your choice of which, and take a Battalion from the 423rd. How does that sound for your Scouting and Land laying?" The Lord General frowned slightly at his aides and intelligence staff for the fear they showed the Commissar. They should respect him but not fear. It is not a good emotion.
"I want current scans of Tus Primaris and a fleet deployment briefing on my desk before shifts end, in triplicate. We'll need to prepare the fleet for maneuvers. Keep your eyes sharp Mathius, I expect your ship and it's compliment back in working order." Taking his hat off the table, giving a nod. Say "Captain" in farewell. This brought a chuckle to the old admiral's whiskery face. Jannika Oswald had always been a bit of a mystery to Alexie, but her positive and accepting attitude was infectious. Reminding Tockman of his earlier days as a Captain of his own cruiser. "Don't loose focused of priorities, you're a Captain of His Imperial Navy for Emperor's sake. You have my say to escort Mechanicus personnel to the Moons, with there consent of course. Make friends with the Cogboys, you have time before shifts end to get YOUR scans and fleet deployment briefings on my desk. Final say will have to wait. I am needed elsewhere." Placing his admiralty hat on, he says if farwell "Captain..." Then suddenly! Admiral Tockman paused before he took his leave. Noticing for the first time Durhan Apker. @EvicusDasan1 "You! What you are doing here?! This meeting began and that seat was vacant... walk with me, NOW!" He says with severe meaning behind it. Storming out of the Briefing room for the Wing-Captain to follow. One of the Admiral's aids stays while the other leaves with him, it was the Blonde officer. "Wing-Captain Durhan Apker, the Admiral requests that you accompany him on his way to the Medical Bay. Failure to comply with result in your choice of two months in the hold or flogging. Please follow me, the Admiral tends be a bit strict when it comes to punctuality." She says with the same severe tone, but with an added undertone of amusement. Probably an inside joke...
@PorOborosCain Durhan let out a chuckle and complied with his esteemed admiral. "Of course sir. As you wish" Apker was no stranger to the Admiral's strictness, but he did not hate it at all, in fact he respected the man for his adherence to a codification of laws within the Navy. Something Durhan knew he could not himself do. The Wing Captain smiled at the assistant and gave her a nod as he gestured for her to lead the way.
