  1. Davian is sitting next to the General, looking over the people around the table. He is quiet for now while he seems to be concidering which actions would be best. His job is to make sure the guardsmen can survive their placement in this system, and by the God emperor, that he will do. He slowly strokes his mustache with his finger... Thinking, planning.

    Mathius could do nothing but laugh with a smile on his face as he sat back and listened to much of what he had already said. Of course others felt the need to see who's is bigger while talking and repeating things. Mathius had grown used to being ignored when it came to meetings like this so instead of growing angry, he leaned back in his chair with his hands behind his head and enjoyed the 'I have a letter signed by so and so' and the 'I'm in charge so you have to listen to me'. It was all very childish which was very amusing and left a smile on his face.

    "Also this leads me to a question, What is the reasoning for initial deployments to include this moon? From my readings of the scans the Plant Ven is livable as long as we stay away from the Giant Sea Monsters. If We deploy onto one of the larger masses and colonize the center it would give us a staging area for further claims." He was very thoughtful on the plan he was putting forth, since it would be his boys and girls that would get the shortest end of the stick. The Medicare my take care of their health but they are his responsibility.
  4. Seeing the room darken he knew he was late. "Emperor's throne." Durhan cursed under his breath. Entering the room trying to keep a low profile but not neccessarily hiding from prosecution, he went to sit next to Jannika, she was more relaxed than his esteemed admiral and thus would make better company.

    Taking his seat as the planning went on Durhan whispered to the captain @Colapse "What did I miss?"

    'I am just a wing captain, albeit a GREAT one, why am I here?' Durhan thought to himself. He much enjoyed his recent promotion save for the political meetings like this.

    @EvicusDasan1 "Hey D! You pretty much missed lots of dick measuring, the usual stuff. But don't worry, it seems we just got started," Jannika whispered back as she turned to address her admiral. @PorOborosCain @matt23 "Lord Admiral Tockman, I report that all ships of our fleet are operating at maximum capacity and we are ready to do the Emperor's bidding at any time, whatever you might ask of us. As for here, the meeting was going good so far and is being secured by Judge's Enforcers and my men from "Durandal" so you have nothing to worry about."

    "As for assisting the colonization effort, I volunteer me and my ship to add our force and expertise to any who need, be it helping the Imperial Guard set foot on the planets below or assist Mechanicum in their operation, should they so require," girl captain replied, given that her experience was what it was, it made her willing to work with pretty much anyone here.

    "Much talk of the Guard and fortification already", Darius added after hearing the precocious captain speak of the Astra Militarum. "Little about considerations of the future, or the civilian. I would like to remind you that these worlds must sustain life, Imperial Worship, and an ongoing tithe. Please do not exploit it all too much."

    None of these men were actually familiar with the logistics of life; at most, there were generals and the Adeptus Mars. But controlling a society of the Holy Imperium was much different than a Martian one, and a migratory, fleeting thing such as a Militarum encampment handled differently from a whole world of vastly different people.

    With rapidly brightening eyes, she looked towards the Pontifex and his Redemptionist entourage. "On a fellow pressing matter, how long do you think will the fleet's institutions of worship suffice? We should begin sanctifying our future worlds immediately, should we not? What is the Ecclesiarchy's verdict?"

    Among the Guards themselves were whispers as the main council conducted their business. The soldiers of the whatever the General brought. While the Naval forces remained in utmost silence, hailing from various ships and various captains - not desiring to get caught in any crossfire. The guard was far more united in that manner and therefore trusted one another to shut up, especially if the Commissar should even only glance at them.

    Then there were a trio of shrine attendees which glimmered with hope in their eyes as the Prefectus herself addressed their lords who were here in representation of all of these lords. The Arbites in the meanwhile simply.... Observed in silence, making their judgment in only their mind.

    But a group of high ranking bureaucrats hushed also, their grimaces seeming rather grim until Darius has spoken up, apparently sharing the fear of becoming only the extended lower arm of the military, rather than actually becoming a self-sufficient, proper colony of the Imperium.

    It was definitely worthwhile for each of the ones sitting at the table to not forget: They serve the High Lords of Terra, and as such they are here to create the world for loyal citizens of the God-Emperor, the Omnissiah, the Founder and Protector of their glorious Imperium, and as such. One needs more than fortresses, for even the King of Kings resides now in a palace, surrounded by huge hive spires, populated with billions of people.

    What is a world anyway, without it's great people? The main colonists, no less of a million, no more than 10 million, would arrive before the end of the year. It was little time, and so much to prepare. There was only one first impression. And who knows what happens if the colonists do not even like it? Riots? Rebellion? Simple striking due to unhappiness? There was only so much a militaric force could do. Which is exactly why the Administratum and Ecclesiarchy along with the Mechanicus were present, too.

    And so, the council continued their talks....

    "Excellent. Capatin Oswald, begin departure preparations with a 25 hour notice. Where ever you are assigned, I expect only to hear good things Upon your return."
    The admiral raises his pipe holding hand, signaling one of his aids to being the paper work. She was a young litenant with blonde hair, tan skin, and dazzeling blue eyes. Alelxie turned to look at Mathius, not caring if he was writing notes. It was an efficient use of his time.
    @matt23
    "Captain Webber, you know what I expect. The security of this fleet is our responsibility, make sure that is not questioned by appearances. This is an Important day for not only the Imperium, but we as His hands and how we will shape it."
    Rising from his seat, his metal claw of a hand resting on the table, Admiral Alexie addressed the room at large.
    "Since our departure from the Holy Astronomican, its light is dim but still it shines even in this backwater through the cold void. We knew what this was when we were called upon. I am under no illusion that this will be easier than war. Now we do not fight to destroy the enemies of Mankind, now we fight for the future. For the continued spread of His Imperium's infulence and ensure Human dominance over the wilds of space. This will be a great test of our duty, our honor, and our spirits. Know that His Imperial Navy will shield you against the cold, keep the life blood of the Imperium flowing, and show no mercy to those who dare threaten that sacred task. In the Emperor's name."
    Sitting back down, a slight faint of quickness of breath taking the Admiral. An aid was quick to hand him a glass of water.
    "Thank you my dear. The cut and dry of that is, we are in this together. We must play to our strengths and be ready for anything while we proceed in this undertaking. Until then, The Reckoning Hour will continue as the temporary Capital and Common Ground. All travel will regulated and confirmed by either myself or a Captain of equal or higher rank. If you have a problem with that, my ready room door is always open." Alexie says blowing smoke from his pipe, a digit-weapon clearly visible on the hand holding the pipe. "On that subject, I prepose that more information is required before we decided the next course of action. We must survey all targets of interest, before committing serious resources to their development. One Cruiser will investigate a potential colony world site, while the other investiages the resources available to use on the moons. I care little which is decided, only that it is made to the satisfaction of all parties. Agreed?"

    @PorOborosCain
    "As you wish Admiral," he said as he began to make notes in his journal.

    @Casavay
    He then looked to Darius, "Though there personal agendas hidden amongst what is being said here it all really boils down to something quite simple. Whether it be civilian or military, they both require three basic things before we field large numbers of either. Safety, water, and food. Our fleet can only hold this number of civilian and military forces for so long before we require resupply. While that is still a long ways off, we still need to keep it in the back of our minds." He then flipped through his journal before stopping on a page, "Based off the first scans I say it is fairly obvious that it comes down to two choices, either the deathworld Ven Primaris or the forestworld Tus Primaris. While I believe the Guard forces could handle the security of either world, the person with the civilians best interests in mind is you. So I believe the decision of where they would fair best lays with you, Lady Darius."

    Some how getting the feeling if he hadn't spoken earlier the Prefecta wouldn't of even glanced in his direction Abel gently shook his head. Listening to their Naval representatives a moment it seemed he had become distracted until speaking in the brief silence allowed between statements.

    "We have everything we need miss, so long as we've warm bodies and the word of the Emperor our duties shall be carried out. As for our -wants- I say we are adequately equipped to cover our forces as they are now and with minimal accommodations and a great deal of effort between Cain and I we can prepare in good time for our coming colonists. Please don't worry for us, focus on making sure more vital arms are supplied. Keep our guard well fed and armored, keep our ships stocked in all things and what not. " Bowing his head to both their Naval and Guard personnel Abel then carries on. "Though I would strongly advise against attempting initial colonization of the Death World. Forces larger than ours have been obliterated attempting to do such and it would be down right foolish to waste our precious resources on such when we have other options with challenges that we might more readily surmount. Though the will of the Emperor shall not be denied here and we have been blessed to accomplish whatever we set out to in the name of claiming our galaxy it wouldn't be in our best interest to waste our most blessed intelligence and choose such a fool hardy deployment. "
