It was hard not to be amazed by the amount of effort these aliens have put to construct and capture these dangerous foes.They really liked their games.But their greatest error was the arrogance of a thought,to toy with the Angels of Death. As he nodded in saluting his new battle-brother that have joined them,Zuriel turned behind,brining his Assault Cannon to bear.Electro-motor started buzzing and barrels started to spin. Another flash of fireworks as Salamander unleashed Warp-horror upon the alien foes.Techmarine focused on the Carnifex next to the one that was being maimed by his two/three brothers.With a cogitator unit calculating the possible trajectories and weak-spots,Zuriel opened fire,focusing his wrath on a single Carnifex. However, it appears the Plasma Pistol did not stop charging and actually burned through every single safety there was, before he could discard the weapon it exploded and ripped the entire left hand of the Astartes off. Carnifex: 4/9WL Invictus: 2 WL (3/9 WL) The Storm Bolter pushed into the heavy chitins in the head area, ripping half the face of the Carnifex off thanks of the pre-work of Luna. But even harder of a hit for the wild Tyranid was the actual descending body slam against it, breaking a couple of bones of it's mighty exoskeleton in the neck area, causing the Carnifex to growl and get dizzy - despite the genetical superiority. Carnifex 1: 8/9 WL Versus Carnifex 3: On the other side of the arena, Titus led the attack against the very left Carnifex, swinging his hammer sideways into the Carnifex who attempted to block the hammer with one of it's talons, only to get them crushed away. A second hit came back from the other side, slamming into the side of the Carnifex, and then with remaining swing power an overhead swing against the head which slammed the Carnifex down. However, the upper talons reached out for Titus, slamming it's massive talons into the heavy ceramite-adamantium shoulder pads which withstood for now the damage, although he could feel the massive pressure of the talons and only the Machine Spirit kept him safe. However it was only to keep him in place as a second talon came and slit him into his right arm. Carnifex 3: 3/9 WL Titus: 1 Armor left Germaius attempted to break the Carnifex while it was busy with Titus, however - he only managed to ram his Axe with all his strength into the heavily protected side and back of the Carnifex, not even causing a single darn scratch. Versus all Carnifex: De'vaune roared loud as he focused and then unleashed all of his psychic energy in a barrage of lightning bolts which fanned out to hit all the Carnifex, due to their immense size and close proximity. With a mind of steel, he could control the lightning bolts without even nearly wounding his brethren. The Carnifex (1) to the right was already heavily wounded enough to let the stream of lightning wander into the head of the beast, right into the nervous system and killing it in the spot, causing it to crush down with steam coming from it's lifeless body. The middle Carnifex (2), that also was primed by Zuriel only shed some scales from the lightning bolts, shaking them off as if it was mere rain - starting to charge at Zuriel. The last and far left Carnifex (3) got perhaps the worst of all Carnifex from De'vaune as the Lightning Bolts did not simply shed the scales of but were powerful enough to create some sort of explosive reaction and expose flesh, causing it to scream in pain and now charging the Librarian to retaliate. vs. Carnifex 3: Carnifex 3: 7/9 WL Versus Carnifex 2: Zuriel with his ever precise eye managed to shoot chunk after chunk out of the Carnifex, perhaps almost killing it. But that was the problem only almost. The Carnifex with pure anger, and slight pain, charged for him. Carnifex 2: 8/9 WL Carnifex 2 vs. Zuriel (@High_Adept_Zeth ) The Carnifexes appeared to be in pain, but knew no fear - similar to the Astartes themselves. The center one reached quickly the Assault Cannon firing Techmarine to bring his talons down upon the marine. It was almost immediately upon him, first slamming his talon into the chest of the Techmarine, puncturing it but not wounding him. However, there were three more talons coming down. The first and second smashed into the in-between area of shoulder pauldron and neck, penetrating a couple of bones. And a third and final talon rammed right into the same spot the very first talon went in, aiming to puncture his primary heart. Luckily, his secondary heart was more than enough to keep Zuriel's body running. -6 WL => 7/9WL Carnifex 3 vs. De'vaune (@BadDo9 ) The Carnifexes appeared to be in pain, but knew no fear - similar to the Astartes themselves. The center one reached quickly the Assault Cannon firing Techmarine to bring his talons down upon the marine. The Librarian with his warp-powers had the capability to predict most hits, frustrating the Carnifex, which on the contrary caused it to fight with more heat, managing to bring a talon into the left knee and drawing blood. It was a quick and clean puncture that withdrew quickly. But De'vaune rolled beneath a blow and brought his force sword straight up in a counter - only to smash against chitin and make no wound whatsoever. -1WL => 2/9 WL OOC: I knew I forgot something! So I added some verbiage for enemies: Enemies that are at least Normal get armor values. Normal = Armor of 2 per turn. Strong = Armor of 3 per turn. Boss = Armor of 4 per turn. Enemies may have a 'Larraman Cells' regeneration roll if it makes sense. (i.E. Enemy Marines, Necrons, Daemons) Necrons may get a chance of revival, unless their head is completely destroyed.The Roll would be equivalent to a Larraman Cells roll. And these Carnifexes count as bosses Another rule change since I noticed ppl started to 'abuse' Dual-Wield. You will get additional attacks but your possible max hits are bound by the strongest weapon. For example @Valonox has 2 Chainswords each with 3 hits against a single enemy. This means he could do potentially 6 damage. But that would defeat the purpose of 2H weapons. So instead you get more CHANCES on attacks. Let's say you have 6 successful hits, you still only make 3 damage. So the trade-off between 2H weapon and 1H weapon is that a 2H weapon can do more Max. Damage, whereas 2 1H weapons have higher chance of hitting. The foul xeno felt the might of the Machine God,but sadly it was not enough and his reflexes failed him as the creature was surprisingly agile. What fist talon failed to do,three others seemed to make quite a good job.Third pierced his breastplate,through his carpace and directly intro the primary heart.The pain was overwhelming for a moment and the call of the Membrane was alluring.Secondary heart picked up the pace,overloading under the painful work of keeping the blood pressure up.Secretion of various drugs and pain suppressants,easy up the pain and despite the labored breathing and pain in his arms,Techmarine realized that both of his lungs were undamaged as well as any organ in chest cavity. With a painful grunt he lashed out with his Chain Fist,rocking into the creature`s face with all of his remaining might. Zuriel felt the sting of iron in the back of his mouth as a sudden gush of blood was released from his mouth.Trails of blood leaked from his helmet`s vox-grillie but despite the wounds and blood-clutter Zuriel yelled at the Carnifex who sought his doom: "DIE XENO!" OOC:Attacking the Carnifex with Chain Fist (9)(1). So far I was unable to use Servo-arm (provided I have one,considering that all Techmarines come equipped with a servo-harness that can house up to four Servo-arms).Will I be able to use Servo-Arm from now on as a melee weapon or a weapon attachtment?
Titus would not let a brother's needs go unnoticed. Seeing Zuriel being fairly injured he charge the carnifex that was attacking him. He again trusted in the strength of his thunderhammer as He cocked it back and swing it towards the legs of the xenos.
(Ooc well im useless as a devistator now with one hand that ocupies a power fist, out of curiosity did i fail the roll spectacualy with the pistol) Invictus roared in pain at his chared arm, he turned and disconected his heavy bolter and charged the second carnifex aiming to punch through its head compleatly
Grabbing his power axe Viserys propelled himself into the air again, lifting the weapon above his head in preparation as he fell towards Carnifex 3, aiming to sink his axe into the creature. [OOC: 1H Power Axe: 4 hits on 1 target means 4 potential hits.]
OOC: The Servo-Arm would be usually more a task for hacking, lifting heavy stuff and all that. So for example you could use it to carry the dead Carnifex around and stuff, whereas the others would need to do it together and no single Astartes could drag a Carnifex around. So for example would you drive a Razorback and let's say it tips over you could get out and put it back the proper way. Attacks with it would be always a (2) [1]. OOC: See if @BadDo9 can put the hand back with Biomancy. Also you could change weapons with someone. For example get the Chainfist from @High_Adept_Zeth . Nowhere is a rule written that players cannot exchange weapons. And it was just a crit fail But I want to test how ppl cope with that.
