Right o. Well as Frinn said it's a third person shooter not an RPG. Tbh I find the term "classes" a bit of a misnomer. "Roles" would better describe what each Aspect should be bringing to the warhost. I really hope that it will remain largely true to TT but with a bit more overlap. The one problem Aspect being the Swooping Hawks, because I've always seen them as more fanciful than useful. A highly mobile troop type with pea shooters and crap melee?!? What's the point? I reckon their only real use in EC is as anti assault mehrines/stormboy troops. Quick enough to harass the melee speialists and quick enough to evade them. Even for this role though they will still need a buff. I don't want to regurgitate the same old info, but it's all we've got until we get our Xeno twitches. Speaking of which I hope Brent does ALOT of talking about this kind of thing. To many "we've not thought about that yet" answers is gonna have me hitting the refund button.
I mean if your gonna refund because they haven't focused on the 2 factions that won't be playable soon since they are pushing up the FA, thats sad. As much as i wanna hear my Orks being made and how they are working on if they can't focus on them right now so they have more time to getting the current SM and CSM out Im happy, Tho not to say i don't want ork to be worked on as quick as possible , im content right now but i want info soon during FA on Eldar n Ork progression
I agree with the Greenie, at launch I dont expect parity, hope, but not expect. Balance will take some work and will depend on faction numbers and participation. The devs will most likely use the nids to be a counterweight on the humans and the corrupted.
You forget that they will have access to all Exarch stuff, so they can have among other things a powersword (do they still have access to it in the current Codex?).
I think the grenade drop will be quiet strong and their scouting ability is extremely strong if you don't want them to make them wrong then make some suggestions
Swooping Hawks would probably work well as a "Saboteur" class, with their arsenal of grenades to destroy specific targets and wings to move quickly from one target or location to another. I'd be interested to know how haywire grenades would be handled in this game, if at all?
