well about two years ago some of my friends and i made our own space marine chapter and we had our own paint schemes and such would there ever be a possibility of being able to make a clan or guild type of deal and apply a custom paint scheme to a players character or are you sticking to what is cannon i just thought maybe it could be a cool idea for later in development tank you for taking the time to read this cant wait for the founders program!
That's a unique idea, and perhaps a bit of a stretch for some of the members who wish to stick even closer to the lore, however I myself would love such customization freedom. Even if it was only applicable to those in a strike-squad, or those in a particular group, I don't think it would damage any morale of even those completely rigid on lore. edit: Perhaps if you set up a poll on the subject you might easily gather in more opinions on the subject.
No, its already confirmed that you will not be allowed to deviate much (if at all) from your subfaction colors for recognition purposes.
Ah, that's a bit of a shame, but I do understand. Hmm, perhaps simply personally colored "bits" would be a more un-conversed subject?
That end hasnt been mentioned by the devs, but since they did state there will be customization out the ass these "custom" chapters might just find a look from the tons of cosmetics available and differentiate themselves on that end. The reason why color deviation isnt gonna rear its head is cause each and every subfaction will have its own personal abilities/accessories and more. So the foe (and you in his shoes) would simply by looking at you know what you are potentially capable of throwing out of your sleeve by knowing what subfaction you are by color. If you allow people to deviate color wise you ruin this "on sight" meta.
I see your point there, It may just be that i'm not incredibly involved in the table-top and its intricacies, I spose with the amount of content they are proposing in the "look like a bad@$$" area of customization, color deviation may not even be necessary. Thank you for your prompt input.
well what i was thinking was not to edit a set chapter but more or less just have a side thing like an extra set of armor or something along thous lines
