Yea that would be cool it would add some server stress though. Personally I would love that to happen just me watching my orky siege engine of awesomeness comprised out of a giant chainsaw that has machine guns with bayonets for the chain saw teeth. I would love to see the high and mighty space marines watch in horror as their beloved walls are torn apart along with their brothers. The look on the faces of the proud eldar as their wraithbone is reduced to dust and their soldiers are helpless against our forces. To see the look on the faces of the servants of chaos as their fortresses are reduced to ash and they come to the realization that their dark gods have abandoned them and their fate is certain, resistance is futile. And the confused and enraged look and sounds of the ork tide as their camps are rent apart in a decisive strike. But yea anyways I just want a siege engine to be seen as a primary target and as something that players should focus fire.
I don't think a hive city would be a very good choice, for one thing they are so large, creating that would take years. For another, there are so many buildings to make that it wont even be a seige, it would just be a war inside a house. I hope sieging is done like in ESO (yes I know..) where walls are destroyed and re-built, fortification, turrets, etc.
Well.............. Considering the size of a space marine/orks/eldar being around the same height, and the size of a normal human or guardsman who live in the hives, they are quite different. Space marines would barely fit through the doors, although there are alot of large corridors and rooms, it would start to feel like ( COD multiplayer, for example). Small fighting spaces should be saved for space hulks, which in another thread about it, I am for the idea of them being like dungeon instances with pvp elements, with termis of course! Also, the amount of time it would take to create a whole hive city, would take an entire year (Considering the amount of work they have to put into the game to make normal fortresses and with the campaign system adding new continents, would be rather ridiculous). Things such as large fortresses, and huge half destroyed buildings would naturally suit better then an entire city.
