Chasing People with a Storm Shield to see if the damage lives up to the hype

Yeah but being victim is not nice, you know? How come LSM is never a victim? try to understand finally that I don't give a shit if devs do this on purpose or not, I belive not but that doesn't change the fact that it IS chaos that is always in the red, not LSM, I just don't like that - as simple as that.

Of cousre, being a victim sucks but mostly a frame of mind.

Also, how were we in the red all the time?

We had an epic stretch with a clearly OP MoN that is still an epicly amazing class with very little if any downsides to it.

Our Sorc has been pretty crap with the knife/force sword issue but they fixed it right? They buffed his healing stream they gave us Stream of Corruption that is about to become an AOE with crazy accurate distance.

The imblance between Apo and Sorc I was a very vocal participant in that and I still believe APO is a clear winner in healing and offensive capabilities.

Plasma Cannon got nerfed for everyone, Stormbolter nerfed for everyone, melee nerfed for everyone.

Just this shield bro doesn't have anywhere near the imbalance that all these threads mention...seemingly by the same core individuals making these claims. I've played the class enough to see where it sucks and where it is great, its actually more situationally dependant than our MoN and actually is a detriment to LSM when they spam SB since they lose capping ability.

I haven't been in a situation against a shieldbro where I felt I could not win...except when im on devestator which is fair game since melee is supposed to crush them 1v1 and they do for any melee specialist...hell knives even beat their ass in melee.

It's not a frame of mind, it's a frame of this game.

    Mon got nerfed.

Sorc is proven to be the weakest class in whole EC - metrics.

Plasma cannon was mainly used by chaos for some reason, maybe because of SB.

SB didn't ever get any nerfes.

So because we got nerfed they should get nerfed even though the class is not OP?

I don't feel like a victim when I play Chaos, I tend to top charts because I adapt vs throwing my hands up and claiming defeat. Give it a shot, play something other than PC broaden your horizons.

Or maybe find out how to still make PC viable if its so unusable, you are supposedly one of the best from what I hear.

I notice that you don't actually try to defend your in-game behavior. Do you actually see nothing wrong with verbally abusing people simply for enjoying a melee-heavy playstyle without the anemic-kitten frailty of the jump assaults?
Incidentally, we've already seen what a shieldbro with reduced mobility looks like. Until a couple of patches ago, he slowed to a crawl when blocking- actually slower than the backpedal speed. This resulted in interminable kiting and enforced a very ambush-heavy playstyle, which was more what they wanted for the aforementioned squishy jump assaults.

Ok, Sb is op and it's bugged, it's not a secret for a long time and nobody's doing anything about it. Fact or lie?

Yes I know what to do about pc - bring it back to patch 16 - it was a perfect iteration of this weapon according to the lore\TT and the devs metrics. After the launch when we get the full itemisation make it hard to obtain + high cost to deploy in order to reduce a potenital spam - problem solved. You're welcome.

Edit: I do play Mon regularly + some HB as well, and stop bragging it's childish.

Guy, if you can't enjoy some friendly banter in an aggressive PvP game, then I don't know what to tell you. I doubt that a thread about SB balance/mechanics is the place to have a discussion about toughening up, though. I'll remember the next time that I'm watching you execute someone or be executed that you would prefer a bracing conversation on the proper consumption of tea and biscuits, however, as befits someone who regularly attends tea parties.

I can't help but notice you mention ambush-heavy playstyle, which is how MoN are required to play currently because they have no method to close the gap besides catching the enemy by surprise. Taking an extra 4 bolts over a tactical does not let you advance on someone out of cover. Yes, god forbid that SBs would not be able to charge right into hostile areas with little concern for the ranged classes inside, the way that everyone else has to, and would instead need to work with their team to secure an area by providing cover for them and using cooperation. Lone wolfs go!

Okay, I have to stop you here. This is some dangerous thinking. "Everything they do is right because they have authority" is a really, really bad mindset to have, both here and anywhere in life. The devs are people just like you and me. They have some more information available to them, but they are capable of misreading a situation, making mistakes, and overreacting due to pleas from players and "suggestions" from GW. All of those things can be factors behind their decisions. They are not infallible, so please don't say stuff like that. Use your own thinking and come to your own conclusions without turning to blind obedience.

I was trying to explain this to him...it's hard :D

Without turning it into a bash, one of his points was "70 people in a for-profit studio would never do x". Well, yeah, if they had the final say over everything, then that would be extremely unlikely. But they don't. GW owns the IP, and they have in many other games stepped in to tell developers that certain things had to happen in certain ways to cast their various properties and franchises in a specific light, which usually meant one faction having the upper hand before changes to the table top game came out shortly there-after.

It doesn't take 70 people forming a conspiracy to make some choices that confuse the players. It takes one executive from GW picking up the phone and saying, "We're going to roll out a new line of cast-iron predators for the tabletop. Make sure the other factions' tanks aren't as strong so it becomes more popular before the roll out happens" and BE would not be able to say no to that. I am not saying that this IS or HAS happened, but that's all that it would take; hardly 70 people forming a conspiracy.
