you mean it isnt? honestly with several hundred hours played thats exactly what it looks like to me most of the time I play .... people running around (because standing still means death), shooting/slashing at anyone that looks like the enemy (even when it turns out to be a friendly, oops) its an online shooter game that currently crosses language barriers as well as regional areas ... people expecting higher levels of tactical gameplay are always going to be dissapointed
We do against MoN...all the time. Not sure if you notice as MoN but when you enter a room Tacticals and Apothecaries start dancing (or trying to dance) around them until an Assault class can close, then we follow them with bolters taking popshots when its safe until they are down. I've done this and seen this time and time again. Before when MoN went uber buff during the infamous patch, Chaos players caught on and the amount of MoNs on the field doubled, to the point you could be holding a room with 6 or more players and they just flooded in and wrecked everyone, on many maps you couldnt even step out of the spawn zones...which is why they got Nerfed. Im not saying Shield Bro doesnt need fixed, im saying it is one of the toughest classes... its a tank, its unusual, and difficult to deal with...its not a simple tactical and it doesnt run scared. Boo Hoo I guess the difference between the two bugged classes, was with one you saw Chaos winning nearly every match, swarming the entire world map in red, and basically removing tactics cause even if you got to a point, you were just gonna get sliced to bits by a horde of rolling swinging MoN's... While with Shield Bro's bugs we still win some, and loose some, last I checked the map was still fairly neutral, and its more like we are hearing "But its Difficult!!!"
I guess I play it differently because I play with a Clan... its different to me then most other shooters because I have to approach each class different, each weapon differently. Then working in squads between taking and defending points while letting the 'random players' do as they please. We use AA as a scout and flanker, Devastator crouching down for cover fire while Tacticals stand behind it laying selective fire...shit like that, granted it goes quick, fast and furious...yeah we use alot of tactics, alot of them morphed TO what we find works in the game rather than what works in rl, and trying to force it to work in game. Still its alot better on teamwork and tactics then any other shooter i've played.
We are winning now too, our victories didn't happen because of one class - MoN, yet it got nerfed to the level of a regular tactical with a melee weapon. SB has got bugged shield in two ways - its protection angle is way too wide + the shield when depleted blocks all the damage, this is freaking broken 10 tiems more than MoN ever was.
I agree the Protection Angle is too wide. As far as the shield blocking all damage AFTER it is depleted? Never heard of that/seen it. Though I am not sure how you can say when the MoN was broken it wasnt responsible for the massive one sided winning streak where LSM was loosing nearly every single game and being pushed back to spawn points. MoN is fixed now, its buff, but its suppose to be buff, but you dont see as many of them, or the "hell with this I cant even step out of this room", rage quitting that you did before it got fixed. When we do get mowed over all you have to do is look around and you can tell its players and teamwork rather than imbalance. I will say the shield needs tweaked, wouldnt say Nerfed, would say 'fixed'. Not sure why the Dev's havent done such yet. The class itself is fine, its a broken shield.
I said 'fix' too. I don't know why the devs haven't done it yet, probably they are preoccupied with eldars and the new patch - that's fine, it's more important now. But sooner or later what is broken must be fixed.

hells I would say that the MoN nerf worked too if it wasnt for the fact that the devs changed more then just the MoN in that particular patch you cant change multiple things then stand back and say "ahhhh, there that fixed it so x was the reason it was broken" you change one thing at a time ... and if that one change doesnt fix the problem then that one thing wasnt the cause of the problem, at that point you should reset it to the way it was before the change and then change one other thing etc etc etc process of elimination the alarm clocks ringing and its annoying ... you try several different things in turn until you stop it being annoying, turn the alarm off turn the alarm down change the ring tone adjust where its sitting etc you dont just smack the bedside table with a hammer until it stops and consider it a job well done

Yes the shield is obviously blocking the shots, shots it shouldnt be..one cause its broke, two cause the whole time the devastator is laying down fire, the SB is facing the Crate, exposing his entire side. So the shields gone but blocking, and its blocking at its broken angle, both need fixed. 2. SB is attacking the downed traitor/crate..his shield isnt even up... Im glad you brought up the video, because I tried for a long time to get into SB, but just wasnt my style, but I swear if id had been playing id been ripped apart, never really encountered something this broken. So I still hold too it, Stats are fine, Shield endurance is fine, but the mechanics are wrong.
