All chapters have it's own gene-seeds characteristics and training methods. I don't play tabletop but I wanted to know which chapter have the best and the worst tactical marines, devastators and assault marines on 1v1 fight. (ranged fight for tactical and devastator with bolter and heavy bolter and close combat for assault marines on chainswords) -not including Grey Knights and Deathwatch-
Based on my knowledge of the lore, I would say best: Tactical- Ultra marines Devastator- Imperial Fists Assault- Blood Angles
the best tactical: Imperial Fists (they are good in ranged battle) devastator: Imperial Fists assault: Black Templars (was also thinking about Death Company) the worst tactical: Black Templars (they don't use ranged weapons too much) devastator: Black Templars assault: Novamarines/codex marines (not sure) (and Dark Angels wins in plasma weapons fight)
The Black Templar do like melee a lot but they lack combat focus because of their zeal, Thats why I think I would say Blood Angles over them.
Well the tabletop is not 100% lore friendly so I would take those states with a pinch of salt, also trust me I love the BT but I cant say they would win when facing a chapter like the Blood angles.
In this case Flesh Tearers or Death Company assault marine would be stronger I think. They are Blood Angels successors more focused on close combat.
