We had voting in another thread for those kind of details. We're set in stone for everything but homeworld and preferred enemy.
Alright guys, in the interest of speeding this up and keeping it alive we're going to proceed. Our homeworld is a fortress world, there was a tie between our preferred enemy so I"M going to vote for orkz and break that tie (Imperial fists haven't fought nids as much as orkz so thats what i'm basing it on) Alright LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED: *You awake; today is the day you set for discussion of the future of the chapter, while ultimate power rests with you everyone will be presenting a case as to what they want done, walking down the hall you over hear two of your captains speaking* Captain of second company: "I just don't understand it" Captain of third company: "Look, if it's the chapter masters will that we hold onto xenos tech, who are we to question him" Captain of second company: "Alright, I see there's no point arguing it, I will hold my opinion to myself; come on lets get to the meeting!" *Dissent with brother |You guys can choose his name| will have to speak to him later. You finally reach the council room to hear your librarian and your chaplain in a heated debate* Librarian: The proper training and recruitment of warp-sensitive recruits should be a top priority! Chaplain: Please, you're lucky that you even got recruited; I doubt the chapter master is interested in recruiting more of your kind "Enough, cease your arguing now if you are here it means that you want to present your personal agenda to me and gain its approval, who will approach me first?" Librarian: Sir, I wish to create a proper training environment for new librarians, a place where I can teach them more effectively to master there gifts and make them more serviceable to your esteemed self. |Will cost 75 of your 325 requisition| Chaplain: Sir, the home-world is an impressive sight, one that is able to hold back many an alien but I fear for the spiritual well being of its citizens, the places of worship are small or run down; I would beg of you to start a project to make each temple a grand place every citizen will visit and give praise to the emperor. |Will cost 250 requisition| Techmarine: Sir, if it please you; I would like to create a manufactorum a place that will be able to produce any weapon the imperium currently has. It will, however cost all of our resources, just to finish its construction, let alone start making weapons in it. |This plan causes a bunch of whispering amongst the present members of the chapter, you quickly silence them and ask for the next man to speak| 4th (Scout) company captain: Sir, we have 100 new men ready to attempt the challenge of becoming scouts. I would test them if it pleases you |Costs 25 req| |Though present, your 1st-3rd captains have nothing to ask of you and are there simply to stay informed| |What do you decide to do? After your decision(s) have been made a random event will occur (three dice will be rolled a 111 is a black crusade 666 is the return of a primarch, just to give you a general idea)|
I say taining the new scouts and push forward to give the head-go to the Chaplain; if we keep the population in check and "happy", we can get more done and have less fear to deal with heretics. As we're on a fortress-world, I suspect our greatest threat starting from within.
I like taining scouts. Also, just saying you won't be getting 100 scouts. It'll be roll to see how many survive the challenge and of those who survive some may only become serfs. (Who have there own uses, but are still nowhere near as helpful as a scout)
Yep, I keep it dubious whether I mean tainting or training; I understood that, but the more new recruits we get our hands on, the better as we're already slim on numbers.
I approve! But we rather should hoard resources in case we need to make fast decisions, wherefore I said only to train new scouts but not invest in anything else. ps: don't forget we are low on vehicles, especially no thunderhawks or so... makes retreating and picking up our deployed soldiers very difficult!
Even though the Temple is quite an investment; I think we can use it to get our lacking resources from it; establish connections with the populace and even use may be their traders etc. Using the temple to strengthen our position early on and have the populace help us
