I vote from now on we only use the 2nd captain and his company for dealing with anything Chaos related. Also, I second the notion of recommending the 2nd captain be granted a purity seal. Can't ever be too pure. As for the Techmarine, I vote we give him all the Req he needs. I vote we destroy the ship now that we've got what we wanted. As for the 4th captain, I say we don't get rid of him because that could be why he turns to Chaos. Since this turn is open ended, I vote we go on a crusade against any nearby Ork Empires. On top of that, I vote the 4th Captain be given the honor of leading this crusade as penance. Gotta kill them xenos ya feel me.
I agree with Grigdusher EXCEPT the techmarine's opinion asking I want the Battle Barge to be recylced. Put it into little pieces and re-fine the material to make general material for future weapons, materials and new ships. Furthermore I want the same what I demanded last round: 1 vote for getting long range planet scanner 1 vote for asking governor about other planets in the system 1 vote for asking how we can bump up economy of planet 1 vote for asking if civil unrest is a problem
better check all, because we need to find the seed of corruption who will corrupt borther in a potential future. i suspect the demonic sword is sufficent as a source but i have no idea of how liberate the chapter from it.(if we fight chaos demon and chaos space marine we automatically take weapon and we can't destroy it)
Okey this turn was really fun and the roll wasn't bad either Now to voting: Since he won a great victory against the Chaos, the 2nd captain and his company should be rewarded properly - purity seal and the new master crafted power sword recovered from the battle-barge (the uncorrupted one ofc), and battle honors for his men. However I am against some planet-wide ceremony since the knowledge of Traitor Space Marines is a secret (to most ordinary folk), so telling them that would be a mistake. Concerning desecrated battle-barge, my vote goes to purging it, despite my previous claims. We got everything we need from it, I say blast it to oblivion, no recycling or anything, just blow it up. To hell with that future in which we turn traitors As for the men who were on that boarding action, place them in seclusion until our priests can confirm they are free of any taint (maybe they'll find the corrupt one, maybe not). We just have to do everything in our power to make sure our men are pure. I think this is pretty much standard procedure when facing Chaos forces. Now concerning 4th captain: since now we know that there is a possible future where he would turn traitor, we should keep an eye on him. I don't think this event was a trigger for him to turn heretic, in my opinion it would rather be some future event or a situation. On the other hand, that future may never come to be, so we can't know for sure. In any case, he should be thoroughly checked by our priests and Chaplain until they are sure he is free of any taint. Until then, he should stay on planet. If the vote for building new barge goes through (and I'm sure it will), we have 325 req to use for something. I agree with Urians previous post, and my vote as well goes to asking governor about neighboring planets and how can we improve our economy. I also vote for giving our apothecary req he needs to finish that project of his faster and to begin training new apothecaries since we can't go on any mission without somebody to look after our geneseed, even as now we have 300+, screw it, we need to be safe on this And for the last - when the 2nd captain recovers and 4th goes through tests and remains clean of any taint, give the 2nd captain right that, if he wishes, he can decide what is going happen to the 4th captain. Are we gonna keep him or send him on some mission etc. EDIT: after more thoroughly reading Grigdusher's post, I too vote for sending our Librarian with a team to check ships librarium for any records to what happened that made our future-selves to turn Chaos...(pretty much what he said)
Thank you, finally someone who is going to look into the details of our position (in basic we don't even know in which damn Segmentum we live! PS: Long-Range scanners would also help to identify if slow-po Tau plan to attack, Hive Fleets are flying around and sometimes they also can pick up warp signals which can warn from incoming fleets.... *We don't know what all can attack us and I rather prefer knowing that stuff than being overwhelmed, lol!* PPS: .... Does anybody actually care that plenty of our guys from the 1st Company died because of a bad roll? lol "Crusade is going terribly. Fists are facing stubborn defences. 40 of the 1st company is dead and 100 of the fists with no real progress being made. Undetermined as to whether gene-seed is being recovered. You are unaware of this and thus can't interfere."
Ok I agree, my vote also goes to long-range scanning - why I didn't write it in the first place is because I thought it was pretty much the same as asking governor about neighboring planets, but now I see what you meant by it. And just remember how the 1st captain harassed 4th about his leadership skills during that mission where 2 of his men died. This just shows us that 1st is only strong on words and has personally achieved nothing of importance (not yet anyway, he still has couple of turns to do something good...or maybe die alongside with his men that would be crap).
Yes, and I hope he will live long enough to prove it 1 question - next time when we embark upon a mission, is it possible for us (chapter master) to lead it personally? We need to make some kind of a legend for ourselves And if that's possible, what happens if we die?
