I voxed to Steelfang, informing him that the primary defenses are down, and that we can now move the bulk of the force planetside. Steelfang, the deed is done. It will take the Imperials hours to repair the damage and recover. Their planetary defenses are down, and we must move with haste. And with respect Commander Steelfang, I feel that My talents are best used for more... Destructive purposes. I need real enemies, not these scared security guards that they have guarding the industrial sectors of the city. I need the indulgence of bloodshed that only war offers! I need to be part of the main offensive!
I will inform Lord Helbras of your success but next time report to him directly I'm just a Sergant not a commander Haures
Knight Sergant Diwithers was slowly falling asleep at his post these graveyard shifts were murder. Oy Perciful its your turn. Perciful the big oaf grunted and stepped out of the outpost to do his patrol as he saw a dark figure standing there before he could say anything the figure grabbed him and slammed him against a wall shattering every bone in his body leaving a sack of jelly that looked like poor old Perciful. Diwithers wondered what that sound was with a sickening wet slap a sack of flesh that bared a sickening resmblence to Perciful was thrown into the room Naraks the young recruit grabbed up his lasgun and charged outside he had only time for one blood curdling scream before he keeled over a blade the length of a man's arm sticking out his chest blood pooled around his corpse Diwithers heard the snarl of acutators and servos whirling he turned his only to see a masive iron grey figure standing before him It dwarfed him by a massive margin its baleful red eyes burned his very soul Diwithers grasped for his laspistol but it was too late the figure swatted the pistol out his hand it shattered against a nearby wall followed up by a hard right hook to Diwither's chest crushing it killing the poor human. Steelfang looked over the dead bodies three dead fools it was an easy fight he had hoped for more he placed several melta bombs around the outpost before vacating the building his gauntlets still dripped a bright crimson with blood a momment later the outpost detonated being turned into a molten pile of ash and smoke Communications down Lord Helbras you may commence the invasion don't forget our deal Helbras
Name: Knight Commander Jeros Equipment: standard tank crew commander equipment. Laz pistol and uniform. Using a modified Stormhammer as a command vehicle on the front lines. Skills: Skilled in tank warfare, served under one of the greatest tank commanders known to the Imperium, Irwin Romulous, and learned much from him. But due to the fact that he is always deployed in offensives on other worlds, he must try to adapt to urban combat. Personality: A calm commander who's top priority is to ensure civilian safety no matter the cost. Views loyalty to the Imperium's people above all, and is honorable, even if his opponents are not. Will even go to harms way to defend his own soldiers. Comrades in arms are family to him, and he intends to protect his family to the fullest of his abilities.
Lieutenant, what is the immediate situation? What other information can you give me? I know its Chaos, but what is the full extent of their insurgency! We have power out throughout the planet, and our monitor servitors have all gone silent. Are we being attacked by mere cultists, daemons, or worse? I need details! *vox transmission incoming* Knight Commander Jeros, this is Corporal Aliah of the 23rd Imperial Guard forces on the planet. The general... he's dead... along with his command staff. And... holy Emperor... the Governor... he'd dead as well... How? We... don't know sir. But the current situation seems to indicate something far more powerful than cultists. I figured as much. But with him dead, you are the only commanding officer left. ... Alright. I need numbers of all our forces. Right M'lord. We currently have about 3 mechanized infantry battalions with about 50,000 troopers per battalion, 12 Line Infantry Battalions figuring about 1,500,000 men, and 4 mechanized regiments with tanks featuring about 800 tanks along with the crews. You have an entire regiment under your command, as well as the PD forces that are about 5,000,000 strong. Hmmm... this is going to be a bit of a problem Corporal. If the extent of the invasion is as dire as I believe it to be... we are going to need the Emperor's help on this one. Emperor be with us all, sir. Throne damn it... lieutenant, hand me your vox, I have an army I need to inform... Soldiers of the Imperium hear me. I have just received word that I, Knight Commander Jeros am the last surviving commanding officer on the world. We are besieged by the forces of Chaos. To what extent... we do not know. But my fist order is to have the vast majority of PD forces to start to gather the civilian population at the heart of the city. We will begin evacuations immediately once reinforcements arrive. Roads are to be patrolled with double the men, and each patrol carrying heavy weapons. Your orders are not to engage, but to hold off if you see any enemy movement and report them. If you must engage, then do so. I am also ordering more patrols to investigate the sewers, as well as any other place that the Great Enemy might be cowering in. We are the Imperium, and we endure. Wherever these servants of Chaos may be hiding, we will bring the Light of the Emperor to them, and in ample supply.
Steelfang snarled as he heard the words of this Knight Comander. By the Emperor's boney arse how did they restablish comunications so quickly we just blew up their comunications hub for the district no matter at least they will offer us a challegne now Halifax read the rest of the squad we are going hunting. Halifax nodded yes sir for freedom and vengence . Aye Hali for freedom and vengence
Lieutenant, how goes the repair of the primary generators, and what of the communications array? We need it fully operational so we can send for reinforcements. Not well sir. Our techpriests are working as fast as they can. Our generators may take a while to come back online, and with our portable generators, it is supplying a fraction of the power that our communication array requires. They have only managed to have short ranged vox channels functioning, but we do not have any encryption servitors functioning, and the enemy can listen in to our vox channels if we are not careful. Very well. I have another idea for means of communication. lieutenant, bring me my vox caster. All units, enact vox silence protocol 97. And may the Emperor be with us.
(For the purpose of the RP ignore my necron picture and affiliations ) Porbo: Traitor Ogryn in the service of the chaos forces attacking the planet. Personality: Among Ogryns Probo was considered a genius, he can form entire sentences, plan and formulate basic military strategies and even occasionally contemplate basic ideas. This may or may not be due to chaotic mutation, but considering the other drastic changes he has when compared to other ogryns, this is highly probable. His loyalty to choas, unlike other ogryns, is unwavering. He understands that the imperium only tolerates his kind because they are excellent warriors, and resents how they are treated under such an oppressive government. Traits: Unlike his loyal brethren, Porbo is tall, dwarfing the average human, and slender. Beneath his hood his features are more sharp and fit his slender muscular body. What he lacks in bulk he makes up for in intelligence and will, frightening even the most resolute of enemies with his ferocity and silence not befitting of Ogryns. He wields whatever is on hand, or whatever is gifted to him by his higher ups. Despite his intelligence he understands his place in chaos, and happily plays the role of loyal body guard to any who appreciate his skills. Apparel: Clothed in only a cloth hood with eyepieces protruding from it, and tattered cloth pants forces this Ogryn to rely heavily on his own genetic durability and strength to keep him alive. Considering Porbo has reached the ancient Ogryn age of 25 years old, he is a force to be reckoned with. Weaponry: The only weapon this loyal chaos worshiper keeps regularly is his ripper pistol. With a level of care and dedication unheard of in such a simple race, this pistol has been functioning since the Ogryn himself. As the imperial defenses fell, chaos cultists began landing in droves, bringing with them any and all tools at their disposal. Among the first to land was Porbo and his current master and boss. Porbo hated him, he embodied all that was wrong with cultists, he cared only for himself and saw himself as the hero of the universe. Despite his issues with his leader, Porbo protected him as he served chaos and choas saw fit to give this man a leadership role. Probo lumbered off the ship slowly, dragging a long metal hammer behind him as he did, frightening more than a few cultists by his mere presence. He growled and pointed at a small imperial outpost before glaring back at the cultists, daring any to disobey the orders he relayed from his boss. Before he could close in as well the command vessel carrying his boss erupted in flames and explosions as it appeared the defenders had spotted it. Porbo smiled behind his mask as he realized his boss was surely dead and he was free to find another who properly served chaos.
Lieutenant Linious came running into my war room, with terror in his face. Sir! The enemy has struck! One of their landing craft has landed outside the city, and enemy forces have attacked one of our forward outposts! Only twelve men survived the onslaught! Damn, they are making their move already. How goes the civilian relocation? 33% of the population has arrived at the city center spires. Many of the population are reluctant to leave, some have even attacked the PD trying to get them out. Some even have taken up rioting in the streets. Moral is an all time low. I should have seen this coming. With a chaos invasion, mass hysteria tends to fallow suit. Have the PD continue their assignment, and be sure to alert them that they are not authorized to use lethal force. Our job is to put the civilians lives ahead of our own. We have to work our way around this. What we are going to need is victories. Heroic victories. If we can show that the enemy is not all powerful, and in fact mortal and can be stopped, that should bring up our moral. Also, have some of our veteran guardsman inspire the civilians with tales of great victories, and of the Astartes. That might keep their hopes up. Back to the chaos situation. We must organize a counter offensive. As soon as the enemy has landed, we must be prepared to push them back. Is my tank ready? Yes sir. Good, I will lead a counterstrike and try to reclaim our outpost. It is one of our listening posts and their data will be invaluable to the war effort. I will take the third tank company, along with one of the first mechanized infantry. We will see to what extent the invasion is. I will leave you in command of the forces in the city. Make sure that we have the rest of the three tank companies on standby, and spread out throughout the entire city so that we may be able to reinforce the different defensive formations throughout the city. Emperor be with you lieutenant.
*warp portal opens at the ruins of the outpost, and the sorcerer steps forth* Brute! I have been sent to replace your recently departed commander, in Lord Helbras' best judgment. You and your so called "warriors" are to follow my authority with unwavering loyalty. Is that understood?
