I noticed the aimbots thursday night (before the patch) but again at the start of the Abbadon campaign, the wallhacking (more specifically environment and ceilings) was pronounced. The details are just something to argue over without a recording, but it's a little disturbing that it's purely a Chaos side thing lately. Maybe it's been on LSM and just drowned out by the screaming mediocrity or on Ork and Eldar and nobody noticed because "OP <reason>". I'll see if I can get a video montage, when it continues this weekend from both the Chaos and Other perspective.
If this really is a thing then thank you for making us aware of it. When you record your evidence you should send all this to support, posting it on the forums isn't going to help much.
It is a bit suspicious that there is no Abbadon Campaign yet. If you're not just trolling you should submit a report with a time of play and player names(don't put them here) so the claims can be properly investigated and if there are offenders have them purged. This sort of post will achomplish very little. In addition to the possibility that your claims are knowingly false, it's also highly possible that you got the short end of a lag issue. Those of us who have been around a while have been shot dead after we got into cover many times not because someone cheated, because hits were registered after getting into cover due to a latency issue.
How do you notice that someone is wallhacking? I'm not trying to be sarcastic or anything i really don't know how i could possible know when someone uses something like that from my perspective.
You generally spot them on your own team as you are close and personal. It's something subtle like: pre aiming while looking at the wall then strafing while keeping the aiming up. As some charging weapon work with, peek, cover, estimate the aim, charge, peek & shot; it's harder to estimate this kind of behavior as cheating one. But sometime it's really obvious. I saw recently a video promoting cheating on EC, the behavior of the cheater would make it really obvious for any ally looking at him.
Please submit any videos like this to https://eternalcrusade.zendesk.com/hc/en-us do not post them here. Also please do not list any player names here.
I hope you are not including heavies in that. I normally start firing/charging at walls and strafe to bypass the wait/charge time.
Rokkits, plasma gun charge shot can be add to the list too. To the OP Identifying a wall hack/aimbot generally requires spectating their view and checking packets sent. About the only one you can easily see is the type of hack that constantly auto locks on to heads. I have been accused of wall hacking because I was listening to sounds made by the enemy and looking in that direction... I'm sure there are people hacking; some will be obvious (certain headshot aimbots and speed hacks), but most won't be. Unless their team looked like something out of Jacobs ladder then it's a bit kneejerk to say they were all hacking!
