Melee cappers and mark of khorne I reckon.

Phew! I use Flickering Fire, so I'm safe. Well, not safe. Dead more often than not. But having fun, which is what counts.

It means Chaos can field more melee folks and not be without capping classes because of it. So where Eldar/LSM HAVE to have a bunch of Dire Avengers to get capping done, Orks and CSM have more viable melee options in that regard.

Also, because nothing says FEEL THE RUINOUS TOUCH OF GRANDPA NURGLE like sticking a poisonous chainsword in their guts.

Orks did once have increased impact on all their melee weapons, allowing them to win most melee duels by sheer attrition!

It got removed completely after the animations-update which skewed their ranges, ever since which they have eschewed melee combat in favor of guns. So now they are basically green tau.

I specifically mentioned Orks in my post. They are also more melee-centered... or they would be if their lunges weren't the shortest in the game.

Mark of Khorne is a direct "melee mark" even without uniques its a clear melee oriented mark.

Traitor Assault can cap, where as Eldar and LSM melee specialists CANNOT cap. So this allows CSM to theoretically field melee over ranged for their capture setups. This is also part of what makes Orks melee specialists since Sluggas can cap aswell.

Biggest melee weapon variety. Chain Swords and Axes. Power Swords, Axes, Maces, and Fists. Theoretically this would be a real advantage assuming Axes didn't blow dick, instead we basically ignore chain axes exist because chain swords are just all around stronger.
There is also a decent host of unique melee weapons even though most of them suck since they arn't swords (besdies Necrotic Chain Sword which is actually amazing).

While I wouldn't say "melee focused" is completely accurate its a general idea/concept to work with. I would say its more melee oriented than say LSM, which mostly use Shieldbros as a 1-2 of unit in organized squads compared to just lots of random people running around spamming Khorne emotes.

MoK, does not necessarely mean it's melee oriented.
Life steal and extra hp, is as generalist as it gets. I know melee has more life steal, but that is just because if it had the same ratio as ranged, it would be an incredible joke.

Also, we can't be called a melee faction just because we have chain axe....

I like to switch around...It gets old pretty fast and sometimes i look for less common builds, just so that the game doesn't feel so bland. That's all

Unless you use the Manslayer that is. If you run a Khorne Traitor Assault this is the perfect fit as it gives you 40% Lifesteal :CSMWord:

Get back to me once life steal matters, and most fights aren't decided by going near full to dead in a single melee animation or stun when you lose an RPS.
Yeah it gets tons of life steal, but generally its not going to matter a lot and because the weapon is so slow you can reliably get killed mid swing.

Just use an NCS, its a sword so it fast and reliable, its poison damage more than makes up for any damage lose from using a chainsword over a power weapon. The poison damage even ticks for MoK life steal (obvious not for a lot but its there).
You use manslayer to look and feel the part, you use NCS because you want to try to be effective in melee. Granted melee isn't super effective in and of itself, but its a clear "use the damn sword or enjoy your roleplay" situation imo.
