Going to requote myself......to give the illusion of a horde. Orks unique trait is their quantity and survivability, but the lobby shooter system doesn't allow for it. So, this Waaaagh system was added to the game to buff Orks and give them their unique trait.
Waaagh mechanic was implemented with the first few iterations of Orks. Long before the health adjustments we have seen in recent patches. It was added in a time when Orks were the worse race for win/loss ratio.
How about.... At the last 2 min of every match the waaaagh comes at a last ditch effort. Whenever the clock gets to 2 min, waaagh is triggered. If time is extended waaaagh ends. But whenever, in any situation that the timer gets to 2 min the waaaagh always triggers.
That is more or less the current game meta and it doesn't help because the match has already been lost/won.
I question about survivability, maybe in the tabletop but in all other games (warhammer but not only)
Right, which you didn't actually respond to my question with. Okay, so they get the illusion of a horde by having a huge buff for the last 5 minutes of a long match. Why? Why don't the other factions get this? If you're going to have a horde of a faction that is already stronger than average, how is that balanced when other factions don't get that?
I got a roight dumb idea 'ere Wot if'n it was capture point based? If'n ye be attackin' er defendin' on a skirmish map as orks and capture 2/3 er 3/3 points, then WAAAGH! be active. Contested points don't count towards da WAAAGH!, so ye can remove da WAAAGH! effect by attemptin' ta' cap points On a tug-o-war map WAAAGH! be active dependin' on which role ye got, Attack/Defense When atackin' ye got WAAAGH! when ye control all points but th' last one When defendin' ye get WAAAGH! when ye only gotz one point left Again, contested points don't count fer da WAAAGH!. So da enemy can remove WAAAGH! by attemptin' ta' cap points And on Fortress maps, it should be removed given da whole limited spawns fing. Dat er ye get WAAAGH! when yer on da last point, eitha' defendin' er attackin' regardless o' contested points
It doesn't seem to trigger in the last 5 minutes, at least in my experience. It will trigger in the last 2 minutes or so and doesn't always trigger every map. Not, quite sure what the conditions are but it is currently not guaranteed.
Would you be ok with it if it was: No respawn timer No downed state Take 15% extra damage % Movespeed increase(whatever we get now I don't know the actual number) Currently we're supposed to have extra mitigation, I think flipping it would make it ok yes?
Survivability in the sense they can may not be combat effective, but do not die from horrific wounds. It would be interesting if they could implement that concept into current game somehow....
