because people start playng for the statistic instead of the team or the faction. K/DR is only one statistic but all statistic have the same effect. " i use that weapon because i gain more point so the weapon is better" "i don't use that weapon because it's ruin my global accuracy rating"
Soooo using a weapon that is more effective is bad for your faction? I thought it was the other way around.
A machine gunner will have a lower accuracy than a sniper because the machine gunner wont hit as many times but has a higher rate of fire. I believe that was the point. I would say yes for any personal stats, preferably for each different weapon you have used, those are fun to read through if you feel bored but I don't see any good use for them to be global or anything.
The problem is that others will judge you by your statistics and not how well you play and they are not tied together. A player that kills a key player is more important than a player that killed 3 randoms. A player might not have great stats, yet he managed to disable a vehicle that had your team pinned. Good support players are ostracized because that doesn't show on his stats. Once you start to feel obligated to only use this or only play like this due to some random stats, you stop playing the game how it was supposed to... for your entertainment. The only stats that should be shown are stats that don't affect any individual in particular. If you want to have squad/guild stats that show how's their success rate I'm fine with that, but player stats I do not see the point. PS: personal private gun stats I'm fine with as long as they are not visible to others.
a rolling causulty counter on the forum site would be cool, like in some places have a est, ppl born per second or died per second clock so it shows global pop.
That's a good thing, the second someone ask me what's my average accuracy or my score/hour I know I don't want to play with them.
Seeing a grand total of all casualties sustained by each faction would be hilarious IMO. We can even count how many days it took for us to kill more Space Marines than are supposed to exist in the galaxy.
