    ^ Actual picture of Velos.

    By Khaine that's adorable.

By the grappling hook, I did mean that old-tech swing and throw rope. I just mean that the knapsack could have the rope tied to it and then clipped together (Think those clips you squeeze to undo like on sandals and such) to act like a securing harness.

I can see the confusion though. :)

And so, would the mechanics of the gloves/boots work, although they would have to be separate and fastened on or such?

If all that works, then I'm square! :D If not, well, we can keep working things out!

    And thanks for the elaboration

I am adorable. If I was an Eldar I was a full-time member of the 'Path of Adorableness' :D (And probably lost on that path..... Doomed to be forever adorable!)

As long as the monologues are awesome!

    Thanks for elaborating!

Grappling hook plus coil of rope attached to the outside of your backpack via a carabiner or something similar makes sense to me, that way it can be quickly brought to hand. I know some (small) amount about climbing, so that seems sensible :)

The boots would provide extra grip, by increasing the grip, if the surface was soft enough or there were crevices too small to get a toehold on. The gloves - actually I think clawed gloves would be worse for climbing rocks, because a lot of rock climbing holds involve the fingertips. Rock isn't soft enough to allow you to dig in. You can have them, but I don't think they would actually make you better at climbing, now I think back. Is that OK? They would help you on icy surfaces but not on rocky ones. :)

Hm... I see your point of the clawed gloves and stone, and given he has skill in climbing, he would probably be decent at using his fingertips, and the gloves could be for situations like icy things. So they would be a tool he uses when needed, not all the time.

Okay, to make sure I know what is going on..
    • Grappling hook and rope attached to backpack/harness (old-school is cool school)
    • Clawed boots for extra grip and easier toeholds
    • Clawed gloves for use on icy or similar surfaces
That looked good to me! Thank you! :D

EDIT: Looked up Carabiner. I learned the name of the item everyone knows but few know the name of! :D

Yes, you can have those things :) I am pretty lenient about starting equipment as Eldar are really a post-scarcity society and even Exodites don't usually lack for the basic tools for life. Even if their tools are more basic :)

@MetalDog4 nothing wrong with your post! :p

I am working on getting the new people in as fast as possible, but I do need to eat and sleep yet today so it might not be tonight! Thank you for your patience :)
