Also, this thread is now a planning thread and the characters are in danger of being hard to find, so I am going to make a character thread for ease of use which I will add completed characters to as we finalise them
I know Khaine got betrayed by Vaul. Khaine got splittered into many shards which become Avatar of Khaine. Ynnead is some weird death god who is made by all dead Eldar. Isha is mother of Eldar and made the spiritstones. Kurnous is her husband and likes to hunt. Asurmen was the founder of Path of the Warrior and the first Dire Avenger, that is why they are most. Maugan Ra is awesome. There are Dark Eldar and Craftworld Eldar. Eldar ran away from home when the fall happened because they had too much..... fun? and well slaanesh likes to eat eldar souls because they made that god. Eldrad hates humans because he tried to warn the imperium from heresy, but they wouldn't listen. that is why ulthwe is total racist against imperium. Iyanden got almost killed by nids, but corsairs and dark eldar helped. Taec died in the process from some weird psyker killing machine.
"Ynnead might be some weird death god who is made by all dead Eldar." It's debatable if he's even really a thing, as he doesn't exist yet and there's no guarantee he will. Just for your personal lore purposes.
Well, Ynnead is a rumoured god favoured by some factions of the Eldar who may or may not come to be ... Eldrad doesn't necessarily hate Humans and Ulthwe sometimes intervenes on the Human side in conflicts. Slaanesh came about because of too much perverted excess, rather than one tequila too many and regretful drunk sex*. But that's certainly a grasp on the gist *nodnod* Vaul was also helping to rescue Kurnous and Isha from Khaine because Khaine had thrown them into a fiery pit of torment, so perspectives on betrayal may vary You've got the most important elements, what sort of character would you have in mind? *although all these things may have been involved.
well as said, i like rare things. But I am not so good with full time psykers and the warp. because then i would be ordo malleus and not ordo xenos and one of those overpowered grey knight psychopaths.... i don't ask harlequin, because they are too much of a big deal and they know too much of the history and also chaos, because black library. so perhaps some sort of inexperienced or very young eldar who has to learn a lot anyway?
That's an excellent choice, because it explains why they want to know and learn. If you make them someone perhaps a bit idealistic or adventurous then that gives them a reason to travel and seek out new ideas. What about someone just starting out on a Path, or even someone who doesn't yet know which Path they want to take? Maybe they are hanging out with others to see what their Paths involve.
