I understood that the dance was in the bar, long before you met up on the bridge But, I am happy if you want to play it another way; after all, one can have more than one dance. There's no rationing going on
I am an all-out romantic and just had seen on Saturday 'Kubo and the Two Strings' so I am like in total romance mode I fear.
Well, that's everyone whom I expect to check, in checked in except Cassie whose post is pending, then I shall get on with the GM post I haven't seen or heard of Colapse or Nurianis on here for some weeks, so their characters will not be coming with you. They will remain on the Arcadia, in case of unforeseen circumstances (no internet, kidnapped by aliens, bears) being the reason, and that way they could rejoin later but I won't have to NPC them and perhaps, get them wrong. I am, however, going to rule that Juri is still getting lessons.
Yeah Colapse is MIA because of his studies, last time I talked to him was like 2 weeks ago or so and only very briefly.
>.> <.< -looks around- I heard people wanted more people here... but this person isn't sure he is suitable as a person to join these people due to post length and also a lack of elf-people lore-stuffs. -sits in the corner- Would it be too much to ask for perhaps a summary of what's going on and all that a prospective player would be good to know?
Most length isn't necessarily important as long as it has substance! Besides there is a wealth of lore knowledge here to help someone along. I'm not well versed myself, but it's still working out alright.
YOU WOULD KNOW! *sprouts Techpriest in angry binary* Your ability to summarize the most important data in the shortest possible form, without sacrificing any of the poetic lustre in the process...is an ability worthy of envy! We want it! <In limbo between RP threads (aka OOC/Planning threads)> Seeing the little canine-draconic mutant takes his self-designated place in a corner (@BadDo9 ), a bulky Techpriest turned to it from its high Throne Mechanicum, wires jutting from the person as the Techpriest was not only embedded with the machinery itself, but the chamber as well. A lithe and pale body, clothed in robes of white and azure blue, was slopped, seemingly unconscious against the side of the Throne, with a little patch of crystal white fur curled up in its arms. The bio-mechanical horror that was the Techpriest paid it no heed, and it seems that the two were joined by a single cable that trailed from the back of Techpriest`s head to the white helmet that rested next to the figure. Techpriest spoke, his human voice having a synthesized, mechanical quality to it, betraying a frustrated tone: "Very well Mythy...we shall tolerate your ignorance and take great pains to rectify such a state of mind." he/it said as its metal and organic fingers unclenched from the side of the gigantic Throne.Perplexing its fingers one over other and easing up in the massive chair, Techpriest spoke without stopping, digesting enormous amounts of information upon the poor mutant/hybrid/thingie. At certain intervals a lithocast image would ignite in the middle of the chamber, as to better portray the scene that Techpriest was retelling. Spoiler: Comprehensive data on TSATSOF RP as till this current date: Character thread: https://forum.eternalcrusade.com/threads/casting-the-runes-character-thread.44004/ Spoiler: ACT ONE/MISSION ONE The Seer Council of Lugganath gathers adventurers and able-bodied Eldar on a quest of utmost import. There is a unknown-class ship in the viscinity of the Craftworld that does not respond to hails.A psyhic barrier erected around the unknown ship is seeming to be the cause of this, but Farseers could not be sure. They send the adventurers that have answered the call as a small strikeforce to investigate the matter in greater detail.Also...there is a working ypothesis that the unknown-class vessel is of more ancient design. These able-bodied individuals answer the call of duty: Firlone the Fire Dragon of Saim-hann (Player: @DaBlackOrk - retired); Artar the Ranger from unrevealed Craftworld ( @Xaphen - retired); Faenkon the Outcast of Lugganath ( @kanila - playing); Rael the Corsair of Sunblitz Brotherhood ( @BlackShield - retired); Striking Scorpion Krocell of Saim-hann ( @Zyver_Wyrdmake- retired); Morvan Jain, Warlock of Iybraesil (High Adept Zeth - playing); Iadanna Iktomi, Felarch of Void Dragons ( @DaKaptin - playing); Council of Lugganath find them suitable for the task and join with them Avrielle the Radiotech (NPC), a short Eldar that likes to dabble in technologies of mon`keigh - mostly human.Considering her unique abilities she is most useful as a most stable form of communication between the party and Lugganath. They are to report once, for seven days, until which upon expiry of those days the mission is to be completed or aborted. These seven (+1) individuals dock by shuttle to the unknown-class vessel, finding it in pristine condition, abandoned and adorned in ancient murals and folk-tales from the Eldar Cycle, some of them unknown even to them. Finding that there are three working webway gates on the bridge that are not only active...but opened, the group makes way to close them before investigating futher the ship itself.Closing one of the gates, the group finds a working drone that seems to be on maintenance duty.Following him, the group finds a cryogenic chamber that seems to house some of the ship occupants in stasis. Two of the NPCs were on the cup of waking and the group brings them out of their long sleep (dubbed by the GM as 'Cold Sleep'): - Carishana; - Kelthellion (or sometimes worded as 'Kelthanion'); After the two NPCs wake up (the two are a brother and sister too) they elaborate that they came freshly from the Fall, some fifteen thousand years ago (give or take). The two are a part of the maintenance crew that should have woken up a long time ago, but it seems the ship was damaged in one way or another. To pass the drone-retelling of the modern happenings, Morvan (the Warlock) mind-melds with Carishana (after her brother refused) and they share a portion of their knowledge. Morvan is genuinely intruiged by the woman and the knowledge she held , and Carishana is shell-shocked by the experience, by birth of the God/ess of Excess, declination of the race and the lack of soulstone.During the mind-melding Warlock also finds that Carishana shows great potential in the psyhic arts, which troubles him, finding that she neither has the training nor the discipline of the Craftworld, nor the protection of a soulstone. The two NPCs are henceforth dubbed the 'Ancients' as the pure and first Eldar that came fresh from the peak of the Eldar Empire and saw the depravity of the race, first-hand. From the two the group finds out that the ship they are on is called 'Hope of Eldanesh' and is essentially a refugee ship. The group moves on in securing the webway gates that are active in the ship with the two (well three if you count Avrielle the radiotech) of the NPCs in tow. From one of the gates comes a Ranger that seemed to be pursued by a group of viscious beasts known as saurids,. The group aids him and in return he joins them on their quest. Another player joins the group: Sarik the Ranger of Iyanden ( @IyandenCorsair - retired); Sealing two of three gates, the party goes for the final gate that seems to be stationed on the command deck of the Hope of Eldanesh (further addressed as simply 'Hope').Barging into the bridge of the ship with a bag full of juicy Saurid meat and leather that should be cured, the group finds that more then two NPCs are awake.Namely the ship war-caste Eldar, dubbed "War-Guard" and their leader, Captain Eliessa (NPCs); She (Eliessa) elaborates further the narrative as well as vice-versa of the modern age (no mind-meld this time). After recuperating the group meets with the ship`s navigator who seems to be in comatose stance considering he guided the ship in the wake of the Slaanesh`s birth-scream for fifteen hundred centuries! The navigator seems to be something closest to the ship`s captain. After getting awakened by some magicks by Morvan, he introduces himself as Varanthis and futhers the plot. In the meantime, the group is joined by (semi-NPC) gyrinx 'dubbed' Llyr by our GM.He is to accompany and bond with Morvan and was with him ever since. Spoiler: Visual reference!CUTE OVERLOAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDD!!! Gyrinx, Llyr when asked a particulary smutty question about its Master and friend. "Meow" :3 After recuperation the group goes to close the third gate, finding it not only to be active but also has a working path into the rest of the Webway. After some digging and scrying they find that it may lead to the pocket dimension of the fabled Lord Serontine who knows a lot about soulstones as well as to their most bountiful harvest location. Considering that Ancients where (and still kinda 'are') in sore need of soulstones, the group takes it upon themselves to help the poor sods on their quest, and get some of those snazzy red/blue gems for the needy. Leaving behind Carishana and her brother, the group stabilizes the gate and ventures forth. On their trek though the Webway, the group fight some meger enemies, finding an inactive portal that suddenly activates in the presence of the psy-active Eldar and from it dashes a lithe figure: Lady Yareli of Mymeara (Uriel - playing); Finding herself in need of adventure, away from the controlling environment of her noble heritage of cold Mymeara, she joins the group. After some time, the group finds the portal leading to the lush and incredibly beautiful dimension. After getting super sneaky though the night-forest, the group finds that this is indeed Lord Serontines realm. The group takes this chance to recuperating from a rather eventful journey though the Webway, each in its own way. Some dance in the moonlight, others meditate and scry fortune under the peach trees, while others visit a local teatre or engage in ritual duels with their host, Lord Serotine. Forthcoming and gentle host that he is, Serontine yields information after we elaborate him the situation, and gives location of the most promising bounty of the 'Tears of Isha'; He also gives us aid in a form of a Ranger (NPC), Kethellion (not to be confused with Kelthellion - Carishana`s older brother - of which I did...a lot.Thankfully there is an edit option on these Forums <3) After trekking thought the Webway on Serontine`s direction, the group slaughters some warp-spiders with a help of a 'shadow' that has been following them across the Webway out of...curiosity. The 'shadow' being: Kortana the Dire Avenger/Banshee/Outcast of Alaitoc ( @Kalle - retired); With another of the Eldar jumping to their aid, the group continues, finding a damaged Webway gate in literally...middle of nowhere...of Webway.By Lord Serontine`s instructions, the parts where the architecture of the wraithbone and immaterium is cracked, is the perfect ground for formation of soulstones. Also...malfunctioning gates are a magnet for all kinds of daemons, which the group finds out.Under expert guidance of their resident Warlock, keen blade of Iadanna and sharp Ranger eyes, the group held at bay a throng of daemons that materialized and assaulted them, tempting them with power and bounderless heights of excess. While Morvan harvested the soulstones, a 'Fallen Eldar' (a Eldar that is in service of Slanessh but is not yet consumed) with his little friend Daemonnette temps Yareli into submission. Little did the tainted one realize that Yareli was merely buying Morvan time to gather as much soulstones as he can.Her mind almost consumed, she gets rescued by Iktomi and the two engage in blade-duel with the daemon, banishing him into the ether before the got overrun by all the matter of nasties that call Warp 'home'. Forced to retreat with a sack of gems (literally), the group seals and then collapses the gate behind them, making their way back to the Hope, with a bounty of soulstones in tow. As the group returned to the ancient starship that is Hope, the group finds that the situation got complicated in every form imaginable. A fleet of Void Dragons and their matriarch Princess Saarania (NPC - former/current Iktomi`s employer). The Void Dragons give unwilling protectorate to the Ancients and their ship (read 'claim') while Lugganath does pretty much the same. Ancients find themselves in them in the middle of this and unliking the precipice and possible outcomes this political situation may result from, they instruct for both the Craftworld and Void Dragon representantive meet on Hope to discuss the matter. Princess Saarania herself graces the Hope (to Iktomi`s discomfort, who appears not only has abandoned his Felarch duties to her...but also to his crew, stranding them on another side of the galaxy), laying claim to it under the guise of a benefact thought Iktomi...since he is her underling. Lugganath does the same though its Lugganthian Eldar that are part of the group. Neither side willing to buldge, with Ancients in the middle, Morvan breaks the conclave with a passionate speech, which seemed very unorthodox to a reclusive and few-worded Warlock. Not being lazy, Yareli engages in same, utilizing her skill in diplomacy to the best of her ability. To weaken the 'claims' of both sides on Hope, save Iktomi from the wrath of his Mistress, as well as secure a future and an option for the Ancients to choose for themselves, between 'sides' and the different cultures, Yareli announces that she has bonded with Iktomi and that a marriage was in plan, which was at that time a convenient lie and an artful deception. Unable to argument this sacred rite of bonding, as well as deny Ancient`s self - indipendance, the two sides (Corsairs and Lugganth) decided to join-effort-aid the fledgling seedling (Hope) but to generally leave it alone. Oh and...Iktomi didn't get flayed alive for his disobedience. With the primary, secondary and tertiary mission complete, the group returns to Lugganath after saying goodbye (hopefully not forever!) to the Ancients. That was 'mission one' completed, resulting in: - 148 pages of IC filled with incredibly artful, interesting and exciting post that are not only well liked, but have emotional weight to them - at least for some of us. - 1418 posts to be exact, all corepographed under the guidance of our illustrious GM; Spending: - From January 31. 2015 till 19th of April of 2016 - or - seven ingame days for our characters (debatably nine, since the time flows differently in certain parts of the Webway . <please refer to Divisio Astrographicus for accurate measures of passage of time in Immaterium;> Spoiler: ACT/MISSION TWO Officially beginning as of this post by our calculation: https://forum.eternalcrusade.com/th...jorimels-eldar-rp.44096/page-143#post-1093138 Seer Liasethanil at behest of Lugganthian Council, summoned us for yet another quest of awesomness. This time...the fate not of some far-flung,time lost refuges is at stake...but that of an ENTIRE ELDAR RACE. Or at least...some of us think so. The goal is to retrieve Sword of Eldanesh, - located somewhere in the Sea of Broken Tears region - a mythical weapon said to be wielded by...well...Eldanesh himself. It is believed to be a sword or at least an artifact of some kind.It is enough to say that it is interwoven by so much fable and myth it just might as well be a Blackstone Fortress or a innovative new idea on the Eldarine culture as a whole. Anyway...the group is entrusted with retrieving 'Sword of Eldanesh' to Lugganath where it is to give rise to hypotethical Ynnead and with the 'sword' Eldar will be able to save their race. Their clue and their first stop will be Exodite world of Mirienh, far on the Eastern Fringe of the galaxy. To aid us in this most important of quests, Seer Liasethanil introduces new 'muscle' to bolster our vaunted group: - Warlock Imaldris of Ultwé ( @Colapse - pending); - Bonesinger Kithaere ("Maven" Kithaere Sheolis) of Iybraesil ( @Casavay - playing); - Spiritseer Irlityra Caensela (Irlityra Caensela) of Lugganth ( @Nurianis - retired); - Amriel Vauntor the Fire Dragon of Yme-Loc ( @MetalDog4 - lazy playing); With Iktomi reconstituied as a Felarch and with his own ship back (and a spouse! yarr!) the group is once more ready to sail bravely where few Eldar have sailed before! As of the last GM post on the page of 162...we have reached Mirienh and are prepared to land on the planet in search for this most glorious of prizes! It might be a perfect chance of a Exodite character "This is a brief digestion of the collective data we have siphoned from this thread`s noosphere." said Techpriest as it stretched in the massive Throne, looking down at the hybrid in the corner...then at the figure slumped against his Throne, still in the same state as before. The machinery of the throne itself seemed to revebrate, sending pleasant vibrations in the air from the amount of effort and strain done to it, over the course of Techpriest`s recollection of the story. Giggling or what passed as such in the Mechanicus, Techpriest reached out with one of its mechadendrites and cuddled the handsome-pale face of the figure over its head and then the small creature that rested in its arms with the tenderness of a parent looking down on its creation. Switching back his attention to the attentively listening mutant in the corner, Techpriest blurted, already switching his attention to other matters: @BadDo9 "We were unable to elaborate much of the parts...and some needed to be shortened before your brain-matter starts drizzling on these sacred grounds out of pure volume of this summary. Also most important parts such as character relationships, NPC relationships and general character depth and evolution over the course of this roleplay, were not included in this summary for variety of reasons. "We are greatly saddened to say that we do poor justice to this roleplay by summarizing it so...but it had to be relayed in one form or another." "Do you have a query?" asked the Techpriest, its hybrid voice sounding even more frustrated.Though whenever that is due to the pressing matters that concerned it elsewhere, or the fact that it had to suffer a mutant in its midst, was unclear.
(No offense to anyone, but super-wall of texts overwhelm me sometimes. I did my best to read through it, but my brain probably mostly skimmed it because, well... WoTs just shut it down somehow... Might be why I am unable to write them as well) So, in very boiled down essence, the PCs are searching for artefacts and such that may influence the destiny of the Eldar race. Their next stop is an exodite planet, which may be a good origin for my character (even if he is probably gonna be one of my stereotypes of young/kind-ish/two swords or so)
That. Was. One of the most beautiful and amazing things I have read. -wipes tear of joy off and then hugs the Techpriest super-tightly- (I read it from 1st to last character!)
