Not since this post (below), not unless you've posted it as I wrote my post above because I checked twice. Then it helps if you say as much in here
....dammit. You are absolutely correct. I guess I didn't have enough in mind yet to warrant a decent length post, I'll squeeze one out tomorrow though, this week has been crazy following the move over the weekend.
Now I am complaining! *three days pass* Look...if you cant squeeze out a post, just say so, so that GM can finally move on with the narrative.Dont force yourself to post one if you cant, otherwise you`ll burn out.
This game is dying. I would far rather have communication from everyone in general. Sometimes it happens, but too often it doesn't. I want to be clear, I am not talking a specific case here, but generally. For example, people have made characters, played what I believe was happily and then suddenly never came back to the site. Being of a sunny disposition I prefer to think of them as having got a new XBox game rather than being hit by a bus. I feel that if I start constantly reminding you and nagging you to post I am making playing into a chore. If you don't post, and I don't know why, it looks like you don't want to play. It is pretty hard to avoid this conclusion if I am not told otherwise (such as "I am moving house", "I have the flu" etc - all valid reasons). If I know there is a good reason, then I can act accordingly and move everyone along. My point is, "I am too [fill in blank] to post" took less than five seconds to type. I am trying to get a major new phase in the plot under way, and have been for some time. Once again, if your characters want to do something else, they are free as always to say "Screw the plot, let's be Pirates" or "Let's go on a major diplomatic mission to the Tau", "Let's all go and be Exodites", or "Let's assemble a strikeforce to attack Terra", or something, whatever you like. But if you want to do something in character, whether it's "Stand still and nod" or subvert the crew, take over the Arcadia, steal the Sword of Eldanesh and go on a rampage, then you need to post to that effect. You are free to act, I am free to provide consequences and interesting and enjoyable roleplay is the goal. If we do not pick up the pace, I am putting the game on indefinite hiatus, because I don't believe in killing characters off just because players can't play. But I will mothball it nonetheless, as this would be the only logical way to go. It's not meant as a threat, that would be stupid as well as rude and you're not children whose toys shall be taken away! But with sadness and great apologies to those who do post regularly, that is what I will need to do. There comes a point when chasing players is just no longer dignified.
Addendum, "I don't have internet" is the one circumstance during which you absolutely cannot let me know that you don't have internet, so that is an exception.
I'm very sorry I have not been responding. I was waiting for others to write first because my character had no provocation to act yet - in my eyes - and while I'm certainly guilty of it, I do not like making a post that is only 'this is what I am thinking' without any contribution to the story itself. I could have - should have? - made a note of this, but I did not. For this, I apologise, since I did not want to give the impression I lost interest.
