No it's emotions and Faenkon by his background isn't great at it. So the back and forth is going exactly as the characters are meant to.
For the record, Yareli would slap Alo for using 'savage' and then draw her blade and point at his neck, like poking but not penetrating. While Artasari would just perplex her, she would guess from his armor where he hails from.
That sounds like fun and interesting. Good interaction could be there. Just as a PSA to all, if I play Alo too agressively please tell me, or at least tell @Jorimel Nothing personal against anyone or their characters.
