@Wata @BadDo9 @matt23 @ItsTime It is really super important to me here to just state that I am not angry like Avrielle Alo has his ways and they are making for a lot of good character interaction. So please don't think she is a conduit for GM wrath, Avrielle's temper is all her own, as @DaKaptin (Iktomi) can agree It is a bit like being bitten by a sponge cake, bless her, but she's always been unable not to speak out when she thinks something is wrong in her eyes. EDIT: that's in her eyes, I can see a lot of points of view here ... I count at least ... six.
I hope my last post didn't go too far or hurt anyone. @Jorimel has Alo "by the balls" so to speak, with the cape and all so there's that if he steps too far. I actually felt reaaally bad but excited typing that post. Oh dear what have I created with Alo.
It's true, I am Morai-Heg here with a nice sharp pair of scissors ... but there is no harm in checking that everyone is OK Eldar are known for their extreme emotional temperament (the Path was created for a reason after all) so it can be expected that there will be some impassioned moments. So long as everyone is OK out of character then they can be really fun to play As always if anyone is at all uncomfortable and not having fun, then by all means tell me here or PM me. That goes for anything by the way ... so if for example I created a scenario with a cave full of giant spiders and someone is a huge arachnophobe, speak up! As an old GM of mine once said, "You will not be dissed.".
I can only speak for myself (and Talis) but it is rather disheartening to basically be disrespected at every turn (especially when the fears in your mind are the ones being spoken.. RL experience honestly) In all honesty, I am getting somewhat disheartened myself. Just because in my mind, especially after even a quick skim of wikia or lexicanium, there doesn't seem to be much precedent for him to be treated this way. Perhaps I am getting too personally attached to Talis, such is a failing of mine as a player (and GM sometimes). And I really don't want anyone at all to take it personally, as I have no problems with the players at all. It just.. dunno, maybe I just need to suck it up and let it be, just kinda.. not sure of the word anymore. Nope, not bad at all. He needs the hugs. Especially one from a certain possible crush of his
Keep your chin up! Without getting into character background (secret stuff!) too far, Alo is here to learn and attitude adjustment is part of his learning process - a need has been identified for personal development, as an office manager might put it. I am personally really enjoying seeing the way you use survival skills with Talis! I have a deep interest in such things myself but live in a town and never get to use them, even for fun. Also when the others come back I am sure that Talis won't be the only one rubbed up the wrong way by Alo and I can see him (Talis) getting plenty of backup. For now he's got Avrielle - she's not a warrior, but she is definitely in his corner
@BadDo9 I am sorry, truly. I will not repeat it this harshly in the future toward anyone. I actually like Talis, I hope he emerges stronger for all this, he deserves it. <3
@Wata @Jorimel I do want to make sure I'm clear (because I'm paranoid) that I am not upset at anyone as a player. Talis will probably end up a bit stronger. Might involve him going into the woods either alone or someone following him to figure things out. But he'll prolly get stronger. Perhaps... Talis is the closest I have ever been able to get to something of a self-insert. That is, someone I can explore greatly with given his background. So i do really see some of myself in him.. I'm very much enjoying playing Talis in all of this, don't get me wrong. I just.. am wary personally of it getting harsher. Also, many of what I've done so far with Talis is inspired by various cooking shows, video games, mixes with my own mind. I'm looking forwards to playing a part where Talis can really, truly shine for everyone, including himself
