The dedicated legions will probably be a post-launch thing, if only because true blue dedication to our respective gods and how that works will also be post-launch. We'll still be able to lean one way or another and they're already showing alligned cosmetics but the effects of dedication aren't yet a thing. Taking that into account, it's pretty much gotta be Alpha Legion unless they go with a warband ((Which I would heavily approve of)) like the Red Corsairs.
Sounds about right. I like the idea of red Corsairs over Alpha legion. The only problem i see is that Alpha is dark blue, like night lords, and corsairs are red, like word bearers. So i see a little bit of an issue with telling the difference during combat unless they were carrying a bumload of cosmetics. :/
I'm pretty sure Alpha Legion are Silver, blue and green, while Night Lords are Blue/black. If you take a look at the pictures from the Lexicanum: I do hope that Night Lords at least have wings on their helmets instead of horns, which would be able to easily tell the difference between them.
I love the AL but once again i do not think they are right in this game. They fight so differently to the other CSMs that they would require their own faction to be properly represented and if a sub-faction is not Properly represented then they should not include it at all. So my vote is for the Red Corsairs

Cannot do Blood Gorgons on the basis of being unable to simulate their blood-bonds which would be the same thing as just not following their specific lore
