I claim i know a thing or two about Bhvr and the game itself by now.

But those things take time. And judging from the speed development has gone till now, i say in 1 or 2 years we will have those in.
Question is, will you be still around then? If you play all the time now, every update feels only like a drip of water on your burned out soul, not doing much.
"Jeah, a new weapon!" after 2 hours you have it, know how it works and it's "known" Whoooo... when is the next update?

And then you step on the forum.
Salty and toxic people aside, you got an idea you really think would enrich the gameplay.
You post your wall of text, and after 2 days it's past page 8 and nobody ever looks at it again.

Thing is, Dev's watch the Forum for sure, and would also like to implement a lot of the things. But they lack 3 things to do so:
The time
The team
The money

So, after your 5th attempt that has gone silent, you stop on typing ideas... because you don't know for what anymore. You could also send an email to your spam filter. But that spam filter at least shows that it contains a message.

So you discuss balance, right? Talk about things in the game allready
I mean, im sure we players know more about the feeling of weapons then the Dev's simply as we are more and play more often. This is a source of information that is more then eager to share experiance. Some of course are not verry usefull, but if you look at the whole picture, the suggestions that come out the most may be the ones to use or give a try or?
And now you have that info, and have a stats guy. Ask the right questions, or the ones the Community asks of you
Take all this input, consider it, work on it and...!

Nerf Combatknives.

Combatknives. Not Plasmacannons, not Meltas, not Autocannons, not OP Melee Weapons, not Hovertank rampages, not too fast Attack animations, not the RPS System, or the lags that give birth to most of those issues... no. Nerf the Rites of Fire, but leave the Burney Choppa. It's the same weapon of course, but why should it be overpowered as well? Or is it an oversight? Do they allready lost track about what they implemented?
No they decided it's finally time to nerf those friggin Combatknives, as they are the true source of evil. Everything else can wait.

That's either them telling us that they got no clue what to do, or a kick in the guts.
Or a really, really evil prank they successfully pulled at least on me.

So... your balance feedback is pointless too. Whats left?

Twitch Shows! The Place where you learn about EC's future and got the chance to ask questions!
Look at the Schedules and you see things like "Character Bases" or "First look at Terminators"

I mean... it's better then "The texture i fixed last hour" or "Shaved Beard Update" but not verry much. I know how Terminators look, im glad you hit the spot with them but... wait, GW tells you how they should look like, or?

How will they play? What are your plans? What about that "new spawning mechanic" that will also affect veterans? What have you planned for their weapons? Can we costumize them? PvE with Terminators?
You know, thats what i really would like to know about that new feature that's cool indeed. But nobody talks about that one.

And don't dare to ask a hard question, it just get's left out, and they answear "Yes, we will make a new map" instead. "Yes, we have a strong motivation to fix a bug" Oh really? Who would have thought?
The question was stupid, but you choose to answear this one, instead of a good one Developers!

Everybody including most reviews talk bad about the Worldmap for example. Why not telling us more about your plans with it to show us those bad reviews are not right? Something that would give us faith back, as you acknowledge the problem and allready got plans to counter that?
"The first idea is you participate and get something in return" is the only thing they said.
"The Sky is Blue, but sometimes you can't see it because of the clouds" contains as much information as that.

Do they themselve not know whats comming? Are you telling me they have no clue in wich direction they develop the game? Or don't they want to tell?
I mean if they say "Don't take this for granted as it is subject to change still, but we think we will make campaigns work like..." Im fine with that! Not a definitive answear, but something i can chew and think about... or something that makes me happy i founded this game, something i can be happy for. And even if that doesn't work "I know i said X last time, but because of Y this won't work, so we scrapped it" Transparent Game development ladys and gentleman!

And don't get me wrong, im even happy we have those, and not just Nathan joking around and delaying the show until 1 hour is over. I tell you, minus the time you need to look at pictures and minus the time for givaways, your 1 hour twitch shows are filled with information for about 15 Minutes. The Rest is... not interessting. Im sorry, but that's how it is!

So whats left?
The Game is fun, sometimes. Most of the time it's frustrating. And once you burn out through the fun content, you are left with what you allready know and the bad parts. Guess on wich of those people will focus?

Transparent Game Development. This Team really hit the nail on the spot. The "Transparent" part of it is that soundproof, bulletproof window they put you behind. Nothing comes through to them and they keep pretending that it's all okay.

I have started to become a sleeper. I check back every now and then to see what has changed.
And most of the time the answear is close to nothing. I encounter more bugs and broken things that were allready there then new stuff. And that's sad.

I want this game to be successfull so bad, believe me. Nothing would make me more happy than a game in 40K that i can spent my freetime on.

I hope you got more faith than me brothers.
I would wish someone could proof me wrong and rightfully tell me how great this is and will become.

But i don't see how anymore.

Yes, I know this process very well. It's called 'white knight awakening'. No offence, I went through it myself and feel exactly like you now, maybe a bit more to the 'dark side' but this is exactly it.

It's funny to observe the forums and notice the guys who were once the most loyal EC supporters turn to ...hmmm what should I say? - complete burn outs. This is what BHVR managed to achieve at the level of perfection - turn the most loyal fan base one could dream of away. Well done.

It's more fun to just sit back and watch, anyways.

You got the diehard fans who firmly believe that this game will become what it should be, holding up plaques of what the devs promised and shouting into the distance with cotton stuffed in their ears. Then on the other end of the spectrum you have those creepy old guys up on crates, holding up picket signs and claiming that the game is shit and always will be, calling anyone who doesn't share their view an unenlightened fool.

Just log on every now and again, mow down some heretics, then come back some other time. The game's not going anywhere anytime soon, and neither are the naysayers or... yaysayers?

At least other shooters are fun til a certain amount of time, which is usually the gaming burnout threshold. But this game...it is frustrating as hell to play. I don't believe that there is even a burn out threshold for this game, it's more like a limit to the amount of frustration and repetitive boredom a normal human being could handle from playing this alpha release of a game.
