the apothecary is supposed to have a lot more stuff to use: like the sorcerer will have multiple spell the apothecary will have multiple tools and accessory.

A lot of possibilities. Different combat stimms, poisons, grenades, dispensers or mb special weapons

Wish people would wait for the game to be to be finished before crying nerf/buff. Trust the devs they want people to enjoy the game, honestly they do, its just everything is in a state of flux because it is still a work in progress.

You mean lore friendly or tabletop friendly? Cuz lore is not tabletop and tabletop is very far from lore. It can be lore friendly but its definitely not tabletop friendly (which is very good)
  8. 80% of the posts in this forum would have been avoided if this quote was implemented.

(20% of the posts are actually very objective and helpful for the devs making their game... right on lads)

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I agree with the guy saying "buff/nerf this." Usually I'm the guy saying, "loadout/weapons/mechanic is in still being implemented, let's wait for a more complete picture," but I think there's an underling issue I have here. Yes, the apoth being 10% weaker in armour and damage is reflective of the loadout system, I find the apoth as part of a team is under performing and not contributing as well as he should. Into point form.
-Compared to the sorc in healing, yes the apoth is the better healer, but in actual combat I'm able to get more use out of the sorc's heal beam (especially with all those MoN running around, so that might be a little inflated). As an apoth I'm not usually able to get heals out to downed guys, I'm doing that after the firefight is over.
-In the firefight, that 10% damage reduction is actually preventing me from getting kills. I am unable to put enough damage on someone to drop them.
-I don't mind the 10% armour decrease, if I'm taking fire then I'm ok going down before the other guy. I think with the self-heal ability it's an ok balance.
-Even with a normal boltgun, I still don't expect access to plasma/melta guns, or storm/stalker bolters. As well as potentially being limited to fewer grenades. My offensive utility is always going to be limited, and that's ok.
-I still can't cap. I think the deficit of tacticals right now on the SM side is directly attributable to the ground assault, and that increasing the apoth damage isn't going to cut into the tac numbers.
In conclusion (dear Lord I am the pompous dork my wife says I am, what person actually uses "in conclusion") I find that the heal > damage argument isn't stacking up when I'm actually in game. My abilities as an apoth are best used either before or after the firefight, and in the firefight itself I'm not contributing as much as I think I should as a player. I also find that his inability to cap or adapt offensively trade equally with his healing, and that a further debuff to his damage is unnecessary. I don't think the apoth should ever be the dps king of the game, but I find him underwhelming in play. I think at this stage, the alpha, it makes sense to come forward and say, "the apoth's boltgun/chainsword should be balanced next to the tactical" because that's when the loadout point system can be balanced.
I hear all of you, this is an alpha, but as a design decision "the apoth's weapon should be directly weaker than an equivalent tactical weapon" is something that can be addressed at this stage of development. This is my experience, if you've experienced different I'd love to hear about it. I'm not on a personal campaign to rewrite the game to my idealized concept of the TT brought to life.
