    Shotguns make sense and do appear in the lore, mainly in the form of blunderbusses for lowly Orks and Grots. Sniper Rifles on the other hand would be like giving swords to Tau or testosterone to Eldar, just wrong.

    Maybe we Orks cant use sniper rifles, but those who like close quater combat and hard hitting weapons should be given a shotgun

    Actually, sniper rifles for Orks are in the lore;
    mainly for Lootas; looted sniper rifles.
    Hence, for da Orks, perhaps it is more lore-approriate if sniping is left to their support classes (Painboy and Loota/Deffgunner)
