but with the question at hand with the thread I would like to see a sniper rifle of some kind for kommandos, but the shotgun would probably be chosen

Sniper rifle: for Orks, they'd probably leave it to the support classes;
Loota (with a "sniper rifle thing",
or why not, the painboy (with a less-powerfull-sniper-rifle)
(in one stream, there was a mention that the Apothecary bolter deals less dmg than the tactical bolter (90%, but subject to rebalancing etc). Orks painboy could get some pretty different loadouts, (stalker bolter replacement), at the cost of a slightly lower effectiveness.

Proper shoota boy loadouts:
Shoota,
Slug shotgun & varieties,
Kombi-weapons; the store already has a Kombi-rocket
The Ork tactical AV weapon.. I'd rather not have every faction have a meltagun with a different look.
Ork Rockit Launcha as a tactical weapon could be fun.

Just add lotz of dem aimy gubbinz.
