I don't mind it as much, but I agree the prices aren't justifiable when other similar buy to play games have much much cheaper cosmetic dlc.
No, the pricing is ridiculous, even if there was a slow way to earn RTC. The cosmetics dont even really add much aesthetic but are very expensive for a full priced game (not to mention founders paid up to $600 with the xenopack right? promised all the weapons as exclusives - denied!) so even though i have a bunch of RTC, theres not a bunch of items that are appealing enough to use it. Also its a big bummer that traitor marks get hidden if you change your pauldron, wish there was a way around
There's a reason I still play the game after 8 years, "cash-grabs" or otherwise. I enjoy the game. At the end of the day, that's all that should ultimately matter to anyone who tries to call themselves a gamer. Publishers and devs come and go, but so long as the game persists a community will stick to it. That's my polite way of saying "piss off."
Couple of questions; 1. Can we get cosmetic items in supply crates? 2. How much does it cost to deck out a full character? Roughly? 24 req? E - TF2 continues to be one of the best fps games ever made, it was bundled in the orange pack with half life 2 and portal. Man what a fucking box. Its worth every penny I've spent on it.
Classy, I'm still playing the game and it's an okay product. I'm not going to waste my 40 buck by ignoring it. But that doesnt mean i have to tolerate bullshit that the devs try to shovel down my throat. Now stop arguing because it'll give the gestapo an excuse to lock this thread.
Non-Wargear cosmetics are all exclusively RTP-only. Unless you count the color and model variations for non-RTP weapons, then those can be obtained from boxes.
But you could actually get the hats from drops. I remember getting a pyro propeller hat back in the day on a drop.
