Joram got the point, this is a game forum, there's no place for politic or sexism here.

Lol, a game forum with no place for politics and sexism? please tell me where you found one.
Back on topic though (see what i did there), TB is more trustworthy than 99% of modern politicians and other media forms put together. At least he is worthy of our attention, however i don't think he will review this so early on. Although i have no doubt he is lurking around here, planning, waiting, assessing.
This is precisely what frightens me, in normal conditions we behave moderately sanely. You bring up 40k, we are prepared to declare war on all feminists for all time. Imagine how TB will become with this, a new chaos god, mark my words. The Critic God, his spells of criticism will shatter the psyches of all non-believers.

TB was also in a RollPlay-series GM:d by Steven Lumpkin.

I haven't read through this whole thread and it has probably been said, but I felt like it would be a nice new topic within this topic.

Never had much use for critics and shills, myself. Half of them are wrong at any given time.
    Funny thing about opinions.
I read the whole thread, it's become some kind of hero worship.
Keeping in line I feel obliged to agree with the folks saying there is nothing to review at this time.
And about women in 40k, my Necromunda gang was stronger than the Sisters Of Battle.

  6. That's in fact old news; Back in his World of Warcrafting days John had ambitions to be a lawyer; Wither or not he actually finished his degree is a question for contention, you'd likely have to ask him yourself, though the likelihood of him actually giving you the time of day is subject to uncertainty.

I actually met one of his old friends once suprisingly who had moved to here in Australia, he joined up briefly with a guild I used to play Guild Wars 2 with, Downunder (who I have recently re-established association with); Back in those days they were a hardcore small 40 member guild, now their a 200 member strong community. Anyway, this person I am talking about, (unfortunately can not remember his name, thus not providing enough evidence to justify my statements, I apologize) knew John back when he lived in England and before he met his wife at Blizzcon and knew him while he did his Blue-Plz internet radio show; he made claims he was involved with the production side of his business. He told me he was good friends with John and in turn he along with 3 other people were involved in Blue-Plz. This was very very early on, back in 2005 to 2006 and he claimed to have known him since 2002.

He claimed both him and other members of the team were upset at John's increasing egotism and condamnation towards them, putting on good public face while in private treating them like their stupid, they also claimed that during 2006 to end of 2007 he was constantly obsessed with rubbing his IQ in the faces of others. In the early days of WoW, when the active community was much smaller; intelligent and innovative people got very far with very little effort and got all the rewards in the world. He also told me that Genna wasn't the girl he was actually interested in at Blizzcon, he was actually harassing some "hot chick who expressed no interest in him and how him and her got together was by pure happenstance - some nasty spiteful words from him about his chatting her up but then she melted for TBs deep British accent and they hit it off, can't remember everything, but honestly it's none of my business.

He claimed that in 2007 John expressed an interest to expand out of Blue-Plz and primarily onto Youtube and at the same time due to popularity going to his head, wanted to produce content on Youtube to cash in on the market so he could make a living from it (back in those days it was much easier to brake into Youtube), when he and other members of the radio show expressed an interest in being involved, he claimed John and his now wife Genna were both rude to him and John pretty much started ignoring his existence, which ultimately lead to their friendship dissolving when he moved to the US to live with Genna. After that he and the other members of Blue-Plz were kicked out of the group and Genna pretty much took over looking after everything for John.

Anyway, take all this with a grain of salt and also understand I am relaying what I've been told from another person who claims to have known John, so this is 2nd party information here. Also this is based on my memory so remember that. I personally do not know John nor do I dislike him or hate him, but I feel these things should be made public. But while doing so I'd like to express a few things about the person in question making these claims.

Firstly, the guy doesn't have a "radio voice" like John does, secondly all his videos he attempted to do on Youtube were of very poor quality and his commentary didn't lend to helping the issue, it made it worse. He expressed a deep seeded sense of butthurt, he was anti-social, lurked but never participated in the guild. His only involvement with the guild was when Guild Wars 2 was in open Beta, which means he never pre-ordered or purchased GW2 and in turn never showed up when it launched. He also eventually stopped talking to me and in turn removed himself quietly from the guild. Also he had a firm belief that all women need to do is show their cleavage and the simple fact their female means they can easily get a lot of views on their videos and thus live off of Youtube money simply for being a "Tube-Whore" as he called them and expressed a lot of butthurt over it, saying things like 'if I was a girl, I would be able to live off my entertainment hobby rather than having to work a job I hate' etc.

So take all that into consideration...
Not to mention, entirely one sided; I've found often that one sided complaints usually exclude their own mistakes. Without seeing TB's side of the story, you can not honestly judge him based purely on someone acting narcissistic.

I am also under the belief that for a time, during his early 20s John was likely not a nice person privately, but there is little to no evidence out there to show that he still is one now in his 30s.

Well, he was involved with the Planetside 2 community. I guess he can't get involved in every game he reviews' community. As for the arrogance... I might have seen his best, and you his worst, maybe that's why we have such opposed opinions. For me it seriously sounds as if you were talking about another person.

If I'd want any YouTube personality to be involved with Eternal Crusade, it'd be Paul Charlton (The Mighty Jingles) he's been involved with the communities based around Warthunder and World Of Tanks, I'm inclined to think he's been involved with more like World Of Warcraft but I wouldn't know, I mainly listen to Mingles In Jingles in the background when I'm either commuting or playing something in which I can 'auto-pilot'. He commentates game replays that are sent in to him by his followers and he releases videos on new updates which are released, his thoughts on the games he plays, highlights user created skins that whether they be non-fictional or just awesome pieces of art or sometimes just talks about Sci/fi like in his most recent video he talks about Aliens.

In contrast to the above, he's more of an open, friendly, and relaxed Youtuber. He also does a lot of stuff revolving around airsoft and collecting those anime figurines. (Forgot to mention, he also cosplays an Imperial Empire Stormtrooper.)

Apologies, I know it could be perceived offtopic or hero-worshipping to mention him on a topic revolving around getting Total Biscuit but he's legitimately one of the only youtube personalities I'd look forward to seeing being involved with Eternal Crusade.

Could we please tone down the drooling fanboying? As much as I have learned to respect TB over a certain topic which I do not wish to discuss here as it will only lead to immense amounts of butthurt, simply calling down a YouTuber, regardless of how famous he is, does not automatically make a game better.

Also, I'm going to blame everyone in this thread, the Illuminati, and the entire population of the Isle of Man if PewDiePie or some other high-pitched maniac will become the main leader of the SM faction because some other YouTube attracted hordes of twelve-year-old fanboys. And I say that as someone who doesn't even overly like SM.

As much as these YouTube celebrities are increasingly becoming a better alternative compared to hilariously corrupt video game "journalists", the cult of personality that surrounds most of them makes me sick.
