Each side will fight a battle in an instanced battleground. The winner and loser will be recorded on a map that will show the struggle going on between the two conflicting factions. Once enough battles have been won, your side will gain a "territory". Once one side has gotten all but two or three teratories from another, the map will begin to feed false information that makes the struggle seem more real and less one sided, until a major patch accidentally resets all the maps and you start over. The reward is playing in a persistant mmo world.
Well, the campaign 1.0 will be pretty simple. You get to play and for some days your faction has a objetive to fulfil. When the quest ends, you get some rewards, like rtc, req and maybe some metal bawkses.
@RageScreama , @Destroya , and @Lord_Cucatrap aren't wrong. V1.0 will be very bare bones, but it is an improvement that at least allows you to feel more in control about the direction of the faction. Want to fight CSMs to the bitter end? Do it. V2 which is the immediate upgrade will be talked about next week so we'll see what they have to say.
Pushed for after launch and then delayed for at least month. I think if there was such huge delay I have reasons to expect something more then barebone mechanism. Couse if I will see something like just point a teritory I want to fight for and watch how colours on world map are changing... I will start screaming.
More than likely that's what V1 will look like. Just remember, we're on "public version" 27 or something of the game. Development will require multiple passes of this system to work. I'm still hoping they're building the foundation to link maps together and other "freedoms" this game needs to differentiate itself from H&Gs.
